I Am Just an Ole' Timer

I had my run, and it's been a good one,

Seems like the whole world is just passing me by.

Ole' Father Time, he just keeps on a ticken,

I still got a lotta life, and a lot more to say!

I fell in love, back in the day,

I can't forget his face, I can't even remember his name?

He was a such a beauty, and a shining star,

Just when I wasn't looking, he broke my heart.

I been down every highway,

Burned, my share of bridges,

I found forgiveness!

And I think I am still a young girl in hiding,

Till, I look in that old mirror,

All I see,

Is an ole' ole' timer.

One by one, my friends have crossed over,

And I pray for mercy, and for few more days?

I still got some dreams, inside this ole' head,

Some days its just a struggle,

Just to get out of bed!

I have been down, each and every highway!

And I burnt all bridges,

And I thought I found forgiveness?

And, I think I'm still a young girl in hiding!

Till I look, at that old mirror, and all that I see...

Is an ole' ole' timer!
