Frank's POV

Gerard Way was lonely. I didn't know why he was; kids just didn't like him. I however did like him.

Everyday I would see kids be mean to Gerard. They would throw pencils at him, take his food, and one time, this boy took Gerard's pencil case and threw all his pencils and crayons away.

He was constantly drawing which was something I admired. I could never draw, even though everyone technically can. They just don't have the right preconceptions for things. Gerard obviously had a great way of perceiving objects and putting them into an order that satisfied his eyes.

He didn't pay much attention to me, but I payed a lot to him. I watched as he went to get a new black crayon and as he sat back down to color. I'm not sure why he colored with black crayons. It isn't that interesting of a color.

But I guess all of the colors are uninteresting, at least to me.

I looked back at my paper and ran my hand through my brown hair, puffing out my cheeks. I then looked back at Gerard to see him with his tongue sticking out slightly as he colored.

It was adorable.

I smiled to myself and continued drawing.

"Frankie, I need another pink crayon. Go get me one." Jamia told me.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"No. Go get it yourself, hobo."

She dramatically gasped and widened her eyes.

"I'm telling!" She nearly shouted. My own eyes widened and I shook my head.

"No! Please! I'll get you one! Just- don't tell, please?" I gave her my best puppy dog eyes and puffed out my bottom lip. Jamia sighed and nodded.

"Just go get me one before I tell," she demanded and I nodded frantically, getting up from my chair.

I walked to the crayon box and looked through the colors.

What color did she want?

I don't think I was listening.

Oh well.

I picked a yellow crayon and turned around to see Gerard's desk right there next to me. I looked at what he was drawing and frowned.

It was a field of flowers- from what I could tell- and the sun was outlined with a black crayon. I looked in his hand and saw that he was still holding that black crayon. I looked at the yellow crayon in my hand and looked back at his paper.

With confidence, I walked to him and held out the yellow crayon.

"Here..." I said gently.

"What's this for?" He quietly asked and I smiled softly.

"The sun is yellow; not black."

Gerard took the crayon from my fingers and smiled a little.

I sat down on the empty desk next to him and my smile grew larger as I watched him color the sun yellow.

And that, was how I got a boy friend years later.
