On the new year of the Elves, Mirkwood had a Feast. The Celebration was one of the most looked forward to of all the special occasions of the Elves. On this particular Feast most of the Elves decided on drinking wine. And this didn't always go well, since Mirkwood held one of the most delicious tasting wines in all middle earth. With one sip you would not be able to stop yourself from having another, then another, then glass after glass. Soon enough the whole kindom was filled with druken Elves.

Since (Y/n) was too young, only the age of 8, she did not partake in the wine. This left her quite alone, wondering the halls for something to do, and to rid herself of the drunked Elves. She soon found herself out of the halls and making her way to the blue gates of the Kingdom. Two guards that stood on either side of the doors were slunched against the walls sleeping. They must have been drinking too, empty bottles layed on the floor beside their feet. (Y/n) knew she would not get a chance like this again, she was excited but reluctant. This was her chance in seeing the Morkwood Forrest, and she didnt plan on letting this one slide. She did not have a second thought as she quietly snuck past the two. Opening one of the doors and sliding out, she was so excited she didn't even shut the large gate door.

(Y/n) ran across the bridge feeling the free night breeze hit her skin for the first time. A wide smile spread across her face, she never felt so alive. The wild wind blowing through her hair, the sound of nature so loud she felt as if she had pointed ears. Quickly she leaped off the bridge, landing on the soft dirt of the earth. Taking in deep breaths of the oak sented air, she looked across the wide sight of the world around her. She saw a water fall cascading off the cliff besides the gates of the Kingdom.

She had a sudden feeling that she should go back, but the pull towards the dark Forrest was much stronger. Her eyes sparkled as the moon shone down on her, she looked up to the stars her face falling to one of awe. It was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen. The sky was so wide it spread so far out that she could no longer see the twinkling stars. With an inhale and a deep exhale she stept out of sight from Mirkwood kingdom, and into the arms of darkness.

Legolas had been searching all night long for (Y/n), but he still could not find her. Where had she run off to? She was by his side in the beginning but as soon as they entered the Feast halls she had somehow disappeared. He started to worry, she had never been missing for this long. All the Elves were too drunk to recall if they had seen her or not, so they weren't that much of a help either.

Legolas knew what he would have to do, but he feared what would happen when he did.

Legolas gave out a breath before straightening himself out. He made his way through the crowd eyes skiming past all the Elves as he passed them. Finally he found who he was looking for and he took no time in thinking twice.

The King sat at the head of the very large, and long table in the Feast hall. A tall glass of wine in his hand and a light tinting to his cheeks. He has been drinking all night, for wine was one of the many things King Thranduil loved to indulge in.
