Chapter 10

Will's P.O.V.

It had been a few weeks since Mia had cheated on me. I wanted to deny it but, I had a crush on Harper. I could do nothing stop it. I wanted so badly to ask her out, but I start to have anxiety attack about asking her and getting rejected. I even started to have nightmares.

I walked onto the bus with Harper by my side. We sat down in the same place we always sit. And of course, Ava turns around to; one, bug Harper, and two, flirt with me.

"What's up fruit punch?" I still didn't understand why that named bugged Harper so much. I rolled my eyes. Now it was time to show how much I care about her.

"Look Ava, to me it looks like Harper doesn't want you to call her that." I say, raising my eyebrows. "What? Fruit punch?" Then she laughed. "But everyone at the school calls her that." I rolled my eyes again. "So, what does that have to do with anything? Just because the school calls her that, it's okay?" "Ugh." The she turned around.

"Thanks Will." I turned to Harper, who was blushing. She turned her head down trying to cover it up. I lifted her chin. "Are you okay?" She stares, then nodes not shortly after. "I think someone has a crush, and not just any crush-" she put her finger to my mouth.

"You can guess when we get to school and no one is listening to us." I smiled. "Yesssss." I say, putting my fist in the air and slowly bringing it down. "Your so childish." I crossed my arms. "You think I didn't know that?"

We both laugh. Not soon after the bus arrived to school. We both get off. Harper looks around and so do I for Jake. She took out her phone. "He's sick again." I sighed. "Yay." We walk inside and I turn to Harper.

"You have a crush on-" she cut me off again by putting her hand on my mouth. "Oh come on, you said I could guess." "Not right now, bathrooms." We headed towards the family bathrooms.

Once we walked in and she locked the door I quickly said my answer. "Me." She turned me confused. "Huh?" I roll my eyes. "You have a crush on me." I repeated.

Her eyes widened. I knew for a fact that I was correct. She blushed so hard she looked like a tomato, then nodded. I jumped in the and acted like I was punching the sky. "Woo-hoo!!!!" She looked at me weird.

And that's when I realized it was my chance. "So, if I asked you out on a date, would you say yes?" She looked me, a bit embarrassed. "Y-yes, why?" "Great, because I'll be picking you up on Friday at, 6." She stared at me in disbelief.

"No, this is a prank." I looked at her hurt. "Ok, so I may have realized when you left my house the day after Mia cheated on that I had a crush on you." I said, scratching the back of my neck nervously. Her face lit up.

"Ok, so you said Friday at 6, right?" I nodded in excitement. "Oh, and let's avoid telling Jake for right now since it's not official." She nodded and laughed. "For sure." Then we left for class.

I was so ready for Friday.
