The sun is still shining,
But it seems so far away
The dark is a'rising,
Taking away the day
Now the light is gone,
To never brighten the way
My wails are heard across the pond,
From inside the hole where I lay
They say it will come to pass
That I will be ready to sing,
But that's just a lot of lies
I will never hear the bells ring
My very existence is a sin,
And now I am beginning to stumble
I probably should let it win,
I'm not really worth the trouble
The beauty in everything is gone,
The dullness hits me with a start
And now it won't be long until my love,
Will come and thaw my frozen heart
