wandering

my mind seems to enjoy wandering,

and i can't help but agree

especially when it wanders its way back

to you and me.

the way your hair shown bright-

brighter then the sun,

and how your smile made me feel

like i was always the one who won.

how just seeing you made me want to buy a baby grand

and write you a song just so you'd understand

but just like that song i never wrote,

we just weren't meant to last,

and as i feel into your castle moat,

you and me became part of the past.

because eventually all suns die,

smiles fade to frowns,

and i never had enough to buy a piano-

it cost over ten-thousand pounds

so when my mind decides to wander,

and when i think of you,

i remember you are not coming back,

and then remember i always lose

an: ugh, don't really like this one.  i will post a new poem tomorrow though, so yay!
