Being Invincible
You can try to not let those stupid words hurt you,
( some slip through the cracks in your failing armor, though)
You can try to pretend the whispers don't reach your ears
( but oh god, they burn like fire )
You can try to be stronger than you feel,
( and normally, that would work, but your a fool)
You can try to be immune to the pain,
( but there's no vaccine for that)
You can try to hide from the darkness,
( you can't hide form something inside you)
You can pretend to be happy,
( but, who are you trying to fool? )
You can try to gather yourself and walk out,
but your not even close to invincible,
(and baby, its gonna burn)
