Monday comes by quickly which means that I have to suffer hours of boring lectures at school again.
Except for Sikowitz's class. I love his class.
"Hey Lewis," André greets me as he places his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't touch me," I snap as I try to shake it off.
"Sorry," he says with both hands up in defense.
"Whatever."
"Has Tyler texted you yet?" Torie asks tugging my left sleeve.
"No," I mumble. I kinda feel awkward talking about Tyler with them ... since what happened two days ago.
By the way, they're still completely clueless about me and Tyler.
"That's too bad," Torie says, exaggerating a frown.
"Shut up Torie, you don't look cute," I tell her.
"I was just--"
"Anyway, you guys wanna go to Nozu's after school? I've been in a sushi mood for the past couple of days," I cut her.
"Hey, I wasn't even done talking!" She exclaims.
"Well I was done listening," I reply nonchalantly.
Torie rolls her eyes and the rest of the group agrees to my Nozu invitation.
"Let's bring Tyler," André tells Torie, indirectly directing it to me.
I ignore André and Torie but it looks like they're bringing him.
When lunch finally comes, I decide to look for Tyler.
"Hi baby," I greet him sweetly when I see him by his locker.
"Wait, so we're a thing now?" He asks, clueless.
What the hell? So basically, we sleep together then text day and night and the next time we see each other, you completely blow me off. Smart.
"Isn't that how it's supposed to be?" I reply looking quite offended by his question.
"I'm just kidding. Geez, relax baby," he replies, kissing me on the forehead.
Oh. Alright.
"So, how's your day been going?" He asks flirtatiously.
"Alright."
"Alright?"
"Yeah ... I'm not really good in putting my thoughts into words," I mutter. "By the way, Torie and André have decided that they're bringing you to my sushi dinner tonight ... just pretend you're all clueless about it."
"Sure," he replies with a smirk.
"Um, yeah. So I guess I better be going now," he adds.
"Oh ..." Before I was even able to finish my sentence, he's already gone. "Okay then."
When I arrive at Nozu's, Kat and Robby are already seated at a table.
"Hi," I greet them.
"Hey Dakota!" Kat squeals.
I sit down next to Kat because ... Robby. So anyway, I actually plan on telling Torie and the others about me and Tyler. I guess they'd stop bugging me if they knew ... or at least I hope so.
Tyler comes in followed by Torie and André a few minutes later and they join us in our little sushi party.
"So, Tyler," Torie says. "Dakota! Didn't see you there."
I roll my eyes and we all pick up our menus. As soon as we've all finished ordering, we all sit back and chat for a bit.
"I wanted to tell you guys something," I start. "Actually, we want to tell you guys something," I say shifting my eyes to Tyler.
Tyler smiles and helps warm me up a bit so I could tell them casually.
"So yeah, we just thought that as my friends--well, friends is not the right word--as my ... never mind, I might hurt some feelings. Alright then ... as my friends, I think it's very rightful for you guys to know that Tyler and I are going out," I say proudly.
"It started last Saturday when I went to Dakota's house and we did some ... stuff, and we both thought that 'Hey, maybe we should go out.' And we talked about it and realized that we both really liked each other. So I asked her out, just like three years ago, and now here we are," Tyler says gleefully.
"What stuff did you guys do?" Kat asks innocently.
"You really don't wanna know."
"Ahh, I get it," Torie says with a smirk.
"Shut it, Vega."
"Wait, what do you mean three years ago? Is there something I missed?" André asks.
"You sound like your grandmother ... after she lost her mind."
"You didn't tell them what happened three years ago?" Tyler asks looking a little hurt.
"I didn't wanna be reminded of it, alright?" I reply sounding kinda pissed.
"You don't have to tell them about that part," Tyler replies calmly.
"Whatever. You tell them."
So Tyler tells them about what happened between us, three summers ago. They all thought it was cute ... well, I have to admit, the memory kinda makes me smile when I think of it. I just hate the last part. Ugh.
The rest of the night went great except for the parts when André and Torie would be all squirmy about me and Tyler. I seriously wanted to shove the whole plate of sushi up their eyeballs. But other than that, I had a good time.
