Mackenzie Ziegler is my best friend and she just got hit by a friggin' car! I don't even know what I'm feeling right now. Am I scared? Am I sad? Am I Curious? I DONT KNOW!
The doctor is checking up on Kenz. She looks so bad, she's in horrible condition. The doc stands up and looks at Maddie.
"You her sister?" Doc asks
"I am." Maddie replies
"Well, I'm sorry to say that your little sister is indeed in a coma. She might wake up in about a week." Doc says
John sounds like he's gonna choke "WhAt?"
"Are you her brother?" The doc asks John
"No she's one of my close friends." Johnny says.
"Well when she wakes up I suggest you make her feel better since your her "close friend." The doc says
"Yea... Okay." Johnny says
"Now I have more patients to check up on." Doc says then walks out the door.
"I can't believe she's in a coma." Maddie mumbles and sits on Kenzie's bed.
I sit beside her and hug her. Johnny sits on the other side and hugs her too. I just remembered, my parents stayed in the car...
"Maddie do you know who hit Kenz?" I ask
"No, they hit her and kept driving." Maddie says
"that's messed up." Johnny says
Maddie nods. "The car was kinda coming at me...it came where I was walking then I jumped out I the way and it swerved and hit Kenzie."
"Are you saying whoever did this did it on purpose?" I ask
"I don't know..." Maddie says
"I think we should go home and get some sleep. Are you gonna be okay Maddie?" I ask
She nods and Johnny and I walk back to the car.
"How is she?" Mom asks as we hop in the back.
"She... She's in a coma, but alive." Johnny says
"We'll come back another day and check up on them." Dad says and starts driving away.
Me an Johnny stay quiet for the rest of the ride home.
