So it goes, you are walking through the streets in New York City and it's about evening time, maybe later. The sun was setting, it was getting a bit chilly and you forgot your jacket at home. It had just stopped raining and it was beginning to turn to night time. You were heading to a fancy party your friends invited you too, but you only went because you heard there would be famous people there. You wanted to meet (enter your top 3 fav celebrities here, besides Tom Holland) if they would even be there. It was a 50/50 chance they'd be there. But you still had hope. You kept walking in your black high heel shoes, which were beginning to rub in an annoying way. You had on a black mermaid dress that wasn't uncomfortable to wear but you certainly wouldn't want to wear it all the time.

(Your dress. Duh! XD).

You still had about half a mile to walk and you were already regretting walking there. You loved the city with all the lights, the tall skyscrapers and all the music coming from every restaurant but it still scared you walking alone at night. Especially in what you were wearing tonight. Why didn't I bring a jacket? That was stupid of me!  You thought. You looked up at the big moon in the star-lit sky and sighed. You tried to call a taxi but none of them stopped for you. You walked past an alleyway and heard a couple of guys laughing and whistling. You walked faster, crossing your arms. Out of the corner of your eye, you looked into a window and saw the reflection of three guys walking close behind you. Your eyes widened in fright. Your heart was racing and pounding loudly in your chest. Walking faster, you kept your cool and hoped that they would just leave you alone. You were walking close to another alleyway and in a split second, you felt strong arms on your shoulders.

You turned around quickly and saw the three men. You struggled and tried to break free of their grasp. But, obviously, it was of no use. Men were stronger than women. Which you hated. You were about to scream when the third guy put a dirty, gross hand over your mouth. They ran into an alleyway and hid behind a huge, green dumpster, making sure no one saw them. Once the coast was clear they stood up and started harassing you. You tried screaming, kicking them with your heal but they were way too strong. One guy was behind you and you took the opportunity to head-butt him and he quickly took his gross hand off your mouth. You screamed as loud as you could. You shouted from the top of your lungs.

"Help me! Somebody, please help me! Please..." You began to cry and you shouted even more. You didn't know what to do right now, you were so scared. Scared for your life.

"Shut up, brat! Or we're gonna kill ya!" One of the guys said. The guy behind you started unzipping your dress slowly. Another was taking your jewelry off of you. Your necklace, earrings, rings, anything he could find that was worth value, he took. Another slapped you right in the face. You winced in pain and tried to scream again but the guy behind you put an old dirty, shirt in your mouth. 'These guys must be hobo's or something'  You thought. The guy who took off your jewelry was laughing like a maniac, causing someone who was walking by the alley to stop and stare. The men didn't seem to notice. The guy who slapped you punched you in the jaw and pushed you to the ground, climbing on top of you. Your dress was completely ripped, dirty, and torn. He started unzipping more of your dress and you tried to struggle and he fell off of you which gave you the opportunity to kick him where it really hurts. You punched another guy in the face but just as you were about to take another hit, the other guy slapped you hard in the face, then punched you, and hit you many more times non-stop. You couldn't breathe at all. He wouldn't stop. Soon they all started kicking you until you bled.

"We'll knock her out now and then we'll have some fun with her later if ya' know what I mean, hee hee hee." The guy who started hitting you said in a gruff voice.

"Not on my watch!" The guy who was watching the scene from the sidewalk said and came running towards you guys. Hopefully rescuing you and not planning on doing the same thing to you. He punched one of the guys so hard in the face he went flying backward into a dumpster. You wanted to help but you couldn't stand up. You could feel nothing in your body, everything hurt and ached. The guy punched another guy dead in the face and practically broke his nose. Then, he kicked another guy in the place no guy wanted to be kicked. He kept punching them but as he was doing that, you silently grabbed your phone and called the police. You couldn't speak that well so you just told them your location, not what was happening. In less than 4 minutes, the police showed up and everyone, including the guy who saved you, turned to see the cops get out of the car and hold up their guns. Cops even came from behind so no one could run away. Everyone in the alleyway, except you, held their hands up.

"Freeze right where you are! Don't move! Hands up!" One of the cops said, a women cop. The guy who saved you had a scared look on his face. Probably hoping he wouldn't get arrested. Another cop came over to you and tried to stand you up and lean you against the brick wall but it hurt so much. So you just sat up against the wall, not even trying to stand.

"*cough cough* The guy *gasp* in the suit, h-helped me. Don't *cough* arrest him." You said to the cop and the suit guy's face relaxed a little. Your eyes met his and instantly you felt relieved. 'That was weird. I just about got beat up by a gang of hobo's and all of the sudden I feel happy when I looked at him. *gasp* Look away! Look away!' You thought to yourself. You quickly looked away from the guy in the suit to the three guys who were beating you up a moment ago. One of them slowly started pulling out a small handgun from his leather jacket. "GUN!" You yelled and pointed to the guy behind suit guy and suit guy ducked when the cop's gun went off and shot the guy with the gun. They arrested the three guys and stuffed them in the back of a cop car and started asking you and suit guy some questions. Suit guy kept looking at you during his conversation with the cop. The cop you were talking to opened a car door, different car than the bad guys, obviously, and you got in the back of it. Suit guy saw this and ran to the car you were in.

"No! Wait! Don't arrest her, she didn't do anything. She was-" The guy said in a thick English accent, but he was cut off by the cop who was about to drive me to the hospital.

"She'll be fine. We're not arresting her, were simply taking her to the nearest hospital to make sure she'll be okay. Would you like us to contact you when we know for sure she'll be okay or not? Cause she may have severe injuries." He said to suit guy.

"Yes, yes, please. Call me at this number as soon as you find out." He said, handing the cop his phone number.

"Will do. Thank you for your concern, sir." He tipped his hat at suit guy and got in the car. Suit guy waved at you and gave you a small smile, with a hint of worry in his eyes. You couldn't return his smile but you waved back and mouthed the words 'Thank you' to him. He mouthed the words 'Your welcome, I'll come visit you soon' back to you. That's when you returned his smile. The car backed out into the street and drove away. Suit guy ran back out to the sidewalk and watched after the car you were in. A cop came up to suit guy and asked suit guy a few more questions.

"Excuse me, sir. Do you know this girl?" The lady cop said to him.

"No, I have no idea who she is," He said still looking in the direction of the car.

"What made you save her tonight?" She asked.

"Instinct? She needed to be saved. I'm sure anyone would've done the same," He said, losing the car you were in and looked over at the cop.

"No. Almost anyone would've just walked away and left her to be harassed by that gang. She could've died if it weren't for you. You showed great bravery and courage tonight, sir. Keep it up. You may go home now." She said and walked to her car and drove off, along with all the other cars. He stood there. Not really sure what to think. Or do. He decided to keep walking in the direction he was going before he saved her and walked into a fancy building where there was music and lots of people. He was going to a party with a bunch of other famous people, but he couldn't think about anything else besides the girl he saved. Wondering if she'll be okay. He hoped she'd be okay. He was going to see her tomorrow. No matter what. He had to. He didn't even know her name.
