-Present time-
I walked through the den and glanced around. I walked into a kitchen. Amber followed. I looked through the cupboards for any sigh of food.
"No use, no ones been in here for like 5 or 6 years..." Amber said. I glanced at her.
"We moved." She said short.
"Where to?" I asked.
"You don't remember?!" She said we eyes filling up with years. "You were my only friend. One day we were playing tag then the teacher made a announcement that you moved with a new family, and I was the only one who cared... You just left me." She said.
"Why didn't you tell me you knew me from child hood?" I asked concerned.
"I-I don't know." She said.
"Wait." I said realizing so
Something.
"What?"
"Remember when Megan and her husband we in the forest, and talking, we were up the tree, until she spotted us." I tell her. She nods.
"Ya I was there!" She said.
"I don't think they were talking about us, he said that they keepin an eye on US."
"Yeah.." She said.
"SO THEY WEREN'T LOOKING FOR US THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE OR SOMETHING ELSE, we were just a set back... Megan didn't know who we were until I said our names... I think she was looking for a different one like us." Amber nods puzzling everything together. "But anyways, we got to get as far as we can from her, even if she wasnt looking for us in the first place, it's still dangerous if we see her again."
"And she did try to kill us with a forest fire..." She added. I nod.
"Where to next?" She asks "Ask far as possible." I say going back the way we came. Amber didn't move. "There's another way, not as close to the fire, follow me." She says and disappears behind a wall I follow.
