Our Purpose Driven Life(English Version)

CHAPTER 28 February 18, 2004 12:00am - 1:39am

     The growth or change is a process, gradually, you should not force it, because we are on a journey for Eternity, to become like Jesus Christ our Brother and our Messiah. And Faith(worship), Belonging(fellowship), Becoming(like Jesus Christ) are the things that we need to have to become like Jesus Christ. To become like Jesus Christ is not right away, because we cannot do it right away even though we conceive we can, just like a full grown tree, it will be small first and in the long run it will be sturdy, that's what Lord God our Father and our Creator do to us.

Mushrooms are being made in the evening, and when morning comes the growth will be continues, but it is small and weak. We should be like that, we do not see it, but Lord God our Father and our Creator have an eye on it. And God will not let us loose if He knows we cannot do it.

     The true change should be on the right process, because we forget things easily and we are weak, that we should experience things 40 times repeatedly for us to learn and God will do that for us, that's why we are wondering why there is a challenges again, because something is lacking it's still not sturdy, like me, I know that when I see handsome guys I will not be tempted, but still when I see it on the television or in a picture, the bad feeling is coming back a little bit, the bad feeling decreases but it is still there, it happens again and again, i know that God is doing this for me to be test if i still have pleasure to handsome, but gradually that feeling is disappearing, and thank you Lord God our Father and our Creator, but if i am still like before i don't know what to do, and i know when i see handsome guys in the evening i will do it again, but thanks God because of you the feelings are lessening.

     And it says that because we are changing we still need to change some attitude, because when truly changing it's not a magic that one snap of finger you are change already or your old you will disappear totally. Because for example after you graduated college and you become manager right away, without having experience from basic position, you can affront your employees easily because you've never been on lower position, like i wanna have a higher position right away because i've finished 4 years course and i told myself that i will not contempt my employees, but when i was invited an examination to become an officer who will hold many branches in pampanga, i highly look up myself, the company's security i did not respect. And thanks God i did not pass the examination, even if at first i cannot accept it because i wasted money for traveling, because the place for the examination is too far from my place. And i turn away from God i did not thought that God is just testing my faith. Sorry, next time i will not be tempted and that there is more good opportunity for me.

     We are afraid that people will know our mistakes while in the process of truly changing so we don't wanna change, and we don't know and God only knows if He will use those for us to truly change, i know i have many mistakes and i accept it. But God also use this for me to be strong in many ways.

     It's hard for us to be hurt for in truly changing we need to change or remove many things, and when you sacrifice we will be hurt, but losing a life is not what i'm talking about, but times that you will be hurt like your job, belongings, things that are important that you should let go while on the process of changing, like my parents they love gold jewelries, wherever they go on a party or everyday they wear them, just like my father, he always wear his gold rings, then when there is a party, it's complete necklace, rings, bracelets, and mom too with earrings, but when we have so many depths, all are being loan but little by little we pay it to have them back, and some jewelries we did not have them back, but the lesson is they do not wear gold jewelries anymore everyday, only on occasion but they don't wear sets of gold jewelries, and us there children we learned the value of money, we do not spend money if it's not important.

     We must write on a notebook all the things that we have learned so we can show our experience for true change to the next generation, that we will become an example.

     We need patience like moses he became like christ when he was 80 years old and made his mission, he is always forcing God that is it the right time to do his mission, but God still says no. Then moses waited for a long time to fulfill his mission, but he still obeyed even if he waited long, and because our ancestors in the beginning have longer life. But if he did his mission earlier without listening that it is not the right time, his mission where not completely fulfilled, we should remember to always abide. What we should say when we are truly change is not what i like but, not i am on what i want to be. And how far did i reach or becoming me not how far will i encounter to truly change.
