CHAPTER 21

MANIK POV

Goddd...why her face is appearing in front of my eyes again and again. Her talks are roaming in my head. Today for the first time she demand something ..really like she never ask for anything but today she ask for my favourite spot. But why she gets uncomfortable when I asked her about music?? That day, I heard her voice, goddd...that melody hits me hard. I never such an amazing voice before, why she left music? I found her deeply connected and lost in music, then why she left it??

I play her song, which I recorded that day plug my headphones and slept off with that melodious voice.

MANIK POV END

Days are passing as usual, for both Manik and Nandini. They start working on their project sitting in library. As Nandini was making presentation on her laptop and Manik was dictating . She is look cute in her glasses as always . Slowly she is getting comfortable around him, but didn't show it to him. With the past things, she became an expert in changing her expression and in hiding her emotions. Actually she is not the one she pretend to be. But in all these, Manik 's mind, heart and behavior is changing automatically. He is behaving normally , eating and sleeping normally, he is not checking out girls these days. Only he check out girl, no no not check out he admires her, he admires nandini each and every day without being notice. HE actually don't know what he is doing but nandini is affecting him. His thoughts used to start at her and end at her , he stop making physical relationship .

Nandini was typing when she found some points are missing in the content. She excuse herself and went to look for the book, as she left from there. Manik look here and there , and check her laptop. When he see the display picture on desktop, he became shocked. On wallpaper , there was a pic of 5 people, looking like friends , they all are laughing hard and in middle Nandini is standing holding a guitar. 3 girls and 2 boys are in the pic but Nandini is looking most prettiest among them, coz of her beautiful smile, and twinkling eyes.

Manik get amused but as he heard foot steps . He again open that ppt. and pretend to be busy in his phone. Nandini take her seat again and start typing. After one hour both left for their house , but Manik's mind was still stuck on that wallpaper . Don't know why he wants to know about nandini, don't know why he wants to become her friend, don't know why he wants to talk to her more and more ??

He came in his room, but found Cabir is sitting on his bed like a king and doing something in his phone.

M: what are u doing here ??

Ca: kyu ..tujhse puch ke aana tha yaha pe?

M: mere vo matlb nhi h ...cabir

Ca: par mjhe bohot sari bato ka matlb jaanna h tujhse

M(confusingly): kin bato ka matlb

Ca: pehle tu fresh to hoke aaja...baki balcony me tera wait kar rha hu

M: haa..thik h ..kuch maanga le khane ko tere liye bhukkad

Ca(smilingly): vo kaam sbse pehle karta hu me

M(smilingly): bhukkad

Manik left for taking a shower, while Cabir was munching snacks . Soon Manik came to balcony and find Cabir waiting for him . Cabir pass him a mug of coffee..

M: kya hua Cabir?

Ca: tu bta na..tujhe kya hua or teri life me kya chal rha h ek hafte se??

M( with wide eyes): mjhe kuch nhi hua yr..or meri life me sab kuch thik chal h....

Ca: Accha

M(avoiding eye contact): or tu puch to ese rha h jese apan ek hafte se mile na ho..roj to milte h yr

Ca(seriously): Manik Malhotra aap pagal kisi or banaeye jake..Cabir ko nhi

M: koi pagal nhi bnna rha hu me

Ca: kya chal raha h tere or Nandini ke beech??

M( shockingly): Whatttt...?????/

Ca: over react maat kare..kya chal rha h vo bta . Me dekh rha hut u apne he khayalo me khoya rehta h

Finding no way to escape Manik give up and take a long breathe and sip some coffee..

M: I don't know....I really don't know Cabir

Ca: what Manik?

M: nhi pta ..me kyu uske bare me sochta hu, balki vo bt nhi nhi karti h mujhse . I mean karti h..par sirf project ko le kar. Pta nhi ..kyu hamesha me usse admire karta hu ..balki vo mujhse aakhe utha kar bhi nhi dkhti h . Pta nhi ..kyu uski bate sunne ka maan karta h..par vo kuch bolti he nhi..

Ca(while sipping): hmmm...

M: mene usse friendship karne ki koshish ke ..par she clearly said no to me

Cabir spill the coffee of his mouth and look at him in shock..

Ca: what???

M( casually): ha I asked for frndship but she said she don't want any new friend in her life.

Ca: Am I dreaming or what Manik Malhotra asked for friendship that too from a girl ?

M: Cabirrrr...yr, tujhe kuch batana hi nhi chahiye

Ca: Matlb..tu usse ke bare me sochta rehta h din bhar

M(nervously): mujhe nhi pta kyu ...par ha sochta rehta hu me uske bare me

Cabir smile and look at Manik, who is looking at moon dreamily...
