Many weeks had past and Beastboy and Raven's 'thing' was going on for quite awhile. There teammates weren't worried just curious as to why they were both so at piece when they were with each other
Every time it was the same thing they'd be in the common room, Beastboy would be his cutest self to charm the beautiful young woman. She would be reading a book or meditating and he would make a move. Sometimes he would change the breed. Just to spice up the relationship. He would hop in her lap and she would only glance at him with a small smirk then attend to her business. Although once in a blue moon without anyone knowing he would sneak into her room and lye with her to sleep yet never as human only as a cat.
But today didn't go exactly as planned. They were in there comforted routine when all of a sudden a teardrop landed on their festive get together. "Why" neither the green boy or the pale skinned women looked up from there interests. "WHY"Cyborg shouted. Now every titan In the the room was looking at him even silky
. "Why what" robin asked. "Why have these two been canoodling for so long yet nobody has said anything". Raven and Beastboy looked over at one another for a moment. "Well What's going on with you two? " "Yeah what is going on here." Robin added.
At this point in the game even Raven didn't know what was going on. Ad least nothing she wanted to admit anyway. She had thought about it not wanting to understand why they were so serene around each other. Ravens thoughts were becoming very in depth and before she knew it a picture on the wall shaddered and fell to the ground. Raven felt exposed in front of her friends. Everyone was just staring. With the look of vulnerability on her face she stood up quickly and floated out the room.
Beastboys pov
I just stood there wanting to tell her to come back, but I didn't. I don't want her to be so closed off. I love having her around. being a kitten is the one way I get to spend so much time with her. If I were my human self she doesn't really give me the time of day. I went to her room. "Raven?" she answers right away "what do you want" she asks bluntly "I just wanted to see you is all" I smiled a toothy grin. A small smile appeared. Her eyes look sad, lost even. I reach for her hand but she reluctantly pulls away before I can feel her soft skin. It's like she's fire or something. She can be warm and comforting but if you get to close you can get hurt. But not intentionally. she hides and it's a shame. "I don't want you to hide out here because your scared of what we could possibly think of you." She looked at me in a suprising manner. She was probably impressed that I actually was some what observant for once. "Your right but for now I need to gather my thoughts." She said then closed her door.
Hours later BB, Cyborg Robin and Star were in the common room watching a movie. Raven had collected herself. She decided it was time to join the group. Not wanting to disturb anyone she floated silently into the room and sat at the end of the couch. Beastboy noticed the young beauty beside him."so you finally decided to come out of your room I see?" She replied with a quick smile then shrugged of the conversation. She was paying no attention to him. So he did what he does best. Transform. He layed in her lap. She pet him making them both feel more relaxed but Beasyboy had figured that he was only useful to her as an animal. Once his theory was proven more than need be he became Beastboy again and left for his room. Raven felt a tinge of emptyness when the green changling took off.
The next morning
Robin Raven and Beastboy were in the kitchen making food for themselves. Raven was making an herbal tea. "Hey rea" BB announced " not now BB" raven brushed him off. Beastboy snapped "you know what I don't even know why I try with you" his face twisted with mixed feelings. He walked away. In that instant she regretted everything, Raven cringed in that moment closing her eyes and tightning her cheeks while dropping her spoon.
Beastboy took off down the hallway. Raven felt a lot of guilt but of corse had to take a breath to rid of the emotion. She walked slowly down the hall way seeing if she could find Beastboy but when she looked in his room he was nowhere to be found. She called out his name while continuing her journey down the hallway. She was ready to give up when she finally caught a glimpse of his bare chest going up and down in the form of pushup. She wasn't to suprised to see him in the training room seeing as lately that's all he's been doing is working out. She smiled fondly at his persistence with his new workout routine proud of him for sticking with it. She had finally said something before he caught her staring. " I know what yor thinking.... oh well she only likes me if I'm not speaking so if I look cute and don't say a word there is no issue.. and when I do say something that is not abnociouse she still doesn't want to hear it". At this point Beastboy had sat on the weight lifting bench to listen to what she had to say that's all he really wanted anyways, was to listen and be heard." And even though I tell you to leave" she says with her head down in regret. " I really am just scared of what will happen if I continue talking to you. I might not be able to control my emotions and I really don't want you to get hurt as a result of my actions.... yet I am still hurting you emotionally. So I'm in a lose lose. I want to get to know you; I apologize for everysingle time I hurt you". Even though she was not about to cry it had looked that way to Beastboy . He rushed over to her to cup her cheeks and tell her it's ok. Stepping one foot away from her." I accept your apology but on one condition... you attempt as best you can to get to know the real me instead taking the easy way out".Raven gave a warm smile and nod. "Soo... want to maybe workout with me..? "Umm sure but to warn you I'm more of a steady pace cardio person" she said lightly. I think we can meet somewhere in the middle Beastboy said happy and proud of his new relationship with an old friend.
