It's Saturday and I'm going over to Michael's to watch a movie and just chill like we agreed on. I was so happy and he was picking the movie. I wonder what movie he picked out? wonder where we're going. Are we staying in the living room? does he have a TV in his room? And if we go to his room will he shut the door? oh gosh, wonder why he would do that. Stop it Faith your overthinking things a little here. Your just watching a movie with a friend. It's not a big deal. Or is it? what if he wanted this to be a date. No he probably just wanted to hang out. Your doing it again Faith!

I walk up to his door and I knock. About five seconds later the door opens quickly and I see Michael with a huge smile in his face.

"Hey Faith! didn't think you would make it. Uh, come in. Please." He says. I walk through the door and he closes the door behind me. I follow him into the kitchen and his dad had out popcorn, sandwiches, fruit punch and a giant bag of chips.

"Dad, I told you that you didn't have to do this." Michael said. I kind of laughed.

"Well, you should be a good host for your friends." his dad said. Michael laughed, said thank you and took the food and drinks and headed to a door that led downstairs.

"Where does this go?" I said

"The basement, there's a TV and two chairs down there. I usually play video games down here but since my room is a mess and we can't talk about anything out in the open living room, might as well." He explained. Huh, he really thought this through. He probably was as excited as I am.

We went downstairs, hands filled with food and when we got down there we set the stuff down and I sat in a fluffy red and blue bean bag chair while he went to get the movie. He wouldn't tell me what movie it was, but I wanted to know desperately. The movie depended on the state in which this "hang out" was. If it was a comedy were friends. If it's a romantic comedy he's hinting something. But that's all I know.

He comes from the back room with a DVD And I read the spine of the case. Insidious. Oh my god it's a scary movie. That means he thinks I'm going to get scared and hide in his shoulder. Great. Not that, that's a bad thing. It's just I'm probably going to have to fake it. But, I've never seen this movie. So, you never know what's going to happen.

"Hey, do you mind if we watch a scary movie? I can't find the other movie so this was my next choice." He said.

"Yeah it's no problem. But, just letting you know scary movies don't effect me much." I say. Setting it up so I do get scared.

"Haha, oh trust me. You'll get scared." He said with an evil smile. He places the DVD in the DVR and plops down on the bean bag chair.

"Oh! I almost forgot the blankets!" he says and gets up and runs upstairs. Oh no blankets. I don't know what that means. Maybe I'm overreacting on this. What if he thinks were just friends and I'm really friendzoned? So many questions and only few answers. He comes downstairs with a huge blanket and drapes it over my head. We both laugh.

"So, I feel like I barely know you. tell me more about yourself." he says facing towards me. I stutter.

"Well-uh..wha-what do you want t-to know?" oh my god I sound nervous as hell. I really hope you doesn't notice but he probably already did.

"Haha" he laughed. He totally noticed. "Um, what do you usually get on your report card. I'm assuming As. Maybe sometimes a B if your having a bad day." He chuckles. So do I.

"Well actually I have more Bs than As but yeah, I guess so." I laugh.

"What about you, huh?" I say to him. He breathes in deep and scratches the back of his head.

"Umm, the opposite of you. Very opposite." Michael said.

We laugh and just talk about us. The music we like the teachers we hate the people we dispize. And we didn't even know the movie was waiting for us on the main menu.
