The moment John Watson laid eyes on Sherlock Holmes, he knew Sherlock was special. The way his eyes lit up when he read, was beautiful. The blue eyes moved so gracefully, leaving no word unturned. The night before classes began, John wanted to get to know Sherlock better. "Want to play a game?" John said, propping himself up on one elbow. "It depends, what game is it?" Sherlock said without looking up. "21 questions. Basically, we go back and forth asking questions so we get to know each other better. What do you say, Sherlock?" John said quickly. "I say no." Sherlock said and turned the page of his book. "Why not? If we are going to be living together for the next year, why don't we get to know each other now, than later?" John said, sitting up. "Your not going to let me say no, are you, John?" Sherlock said. John felt his cheeks turn a bit red when Sherlock said his name. "No, I'm not." John replied, putting his hand on his hip. Sherlock sighed, "Fine. You start." John smiled happily. "Okay, have you ever had a girlfriend?" John said, eyes wide. "No." Sherlock said quickly. "What? No way, your really-" John stopped, cutting himself short. "I am really what, John?" Sherlock said, finally putting down his book. "Probably really attractive to women." John lied. "Okay, Sherlock. Ask me a question." John said, changing the subject. "Okay.. Do you like this school?" Sherlock said, smiling a bit. "Yes. Okay, my turn. Where were your mum and dad when you got here? Tons of parents love setting your kids up, so where were they?" John asked, leaning in towards Sherlock. "I have to Answer?" "Yes, Sherlock." John said, playing hitting him. "Fine. My dad was at my aunts house, probably drinking all the liquor, where we live, and my mum was already driving home from dropping me off. It's no big deal I left, they won't miss me." Sherlock said, his eyes sinking towards the floor slowly. "Sherlock, I had no clue..." Johns voice trailed off. "John." Sherlock said, looking up. "Yes, Sherlock?" John said, looking at Sherlock. "Your my first real friend other than my brother and I've only known you for 3 days..... everyone thinks I'm a freak Because my father is a drunk. My mom tries to stop him from drinking, but it never works. Why am I telling you this?" Sherlock said to John, his eyes turning a beautiful light blue. "Because you trust me." John barely whispered, scared that if he would talk, he would break into tears. "Is the game over?" Sherlock whispered. "Yeah, I guess it is. Good night, Sherlock." John said, smiling at him. Sherlock smiled back. "Goodnight, John." He said, lying back down. "Sherlock?" "Yes, John?" John swallowed. "We are friends. The best."
