Sherlock woke up by a kiss on his lips by John. "Good morning." He whispered, grinning. "Today's the day." John said, hugging Sherlock. "How could I forgot?" Sherlock said, standing up. "Its the day we leave this hell hole, isn't it?" He joked, tossing the sheet on John. He threw them off of him and laughed, sitting up in the bed. Sherlock laughed and went to the bathroom and began to get dressed. John smiled, he couldn't believe it. After all this time, he was done with his first couple years of school, and Sherlock had enough to get him threw.
"Are you going to wait to get ready?" Sherlock yelled from the restroom, his toothbrush in his mouth. "Shut up." John said, jumping off the bed and reaching into the wardrobe to get out his outfit. Him and Sherlock get ready fast, laughing and talking about what they cant wait to do when they get back to Baker Street.
They went down at around noon, where Mrs.Watson, Sherlocks Mother, and Harry stood waiting. "Mum!" Sherlock said, pulling her into a tight hug. She laughed as she hugged him back. "Hello, Sherlock!" She said, kissing him on his cheek. "John!" She said loudly, hugging him. "Hello! How are you, ma'am?" John asked, grinning. "This isn't about me today, its about you two! Our boys are graduating!" She said, laughing with Johns mom. "Hello, John." Harry said bluntly. "Hello, Harry. How are you?" John asked while Sherlock talked with His and Johns mom about plans. "Never mind me. I want to apologize." Harry said, taking John back a bit.
"For what?"
"For telling you Sherlock wasn't good enough for you... I was wrong, anybody who would go through all that trouble to keep you, is good enough. Mom brought it to my attention that you've always been there for me, and the way I treated your boyfriend wasn't okay, I'm truly sorry." She finished, holding Johns hand. John smiled at her and laughed, pulling her in for a hug.
"I will always forgive you. It's what we have to do." John said, squeezing her tightly. She laughed at him the pull apart, her hair bouncing. "Hello, Sherlock!" She said cheerfully, pulling him in for a hug. Sherlock shot John a glance, which he nodded in response.
"Hello, Harry. How are you?" Sherlock asked, pulling apart from he. "Wonderful! You two are ready to get on with life?" She asked, smiling at John and Sherlock. "Of course." John smiled, grabbing Sherlock's hand and holding it softly. They're mothers both looked at them and laughed a bit.
"Sherlock, can I talk to you?" Sherlock's mother said, smiling gently. "Sure." Sherlock grinned letting go of Johns hand to walk with his mother. "What's wrong?" He asked, concern showing in his eyes. "It's about your father and Mycroft... They're coming to see you graduate..." She trailed off, looking at her feet. "Are they here now?" Sherlock asked after a moment of silence. "They are outside. Mycroft's waiting for me to say its okay." She whispered, as if someone could hear them. "I have to talk to John..." Sherlock said, walking towards the door to where John and his family stood. "Of course."
"John, can I talk to you?" Sherlock called to him, smiling. "Sure." John said, walking over to him. "What's up?" He asked, kissing him. "My father and Mycroft are outside waiting, they want to know if they can come in. Opinions?" Sherlock asked, shaking. "Sherlock, that's not up to me..."
"I know, but I can't chose this by myself."
"Maybe you should. Maybe things will get better." John whispered to Sherlock, smiling a bit. Sherlock simply nodded, turning to his mom. "Go ahead and tell Mycroft he can come in, mom." Sherlock said, grabbing Johns hand tightly. She nodded and grabbed her phone, dailing his number.Sherlock brought him and John out into the main hall and to Johns mom, who smiled happily at them. "Everything alright, boys?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yes, everything is wonderful." John answered for both Sherlock and him. "We must go find our seats inside, mum. We'll see you later." John said, kissing his mother on the cheek. "Alright, bye boys! " She said, smiling. John took Sherlocks hand and dragged him to their seats.
The graduation was boring and long, but at the end, Sherlock and John kissed right there, in-front of everyone, which was basically their way as coming out as a couple. They basiclly ran back to their mothers, but then Sherlock remembered his father and Mycroft would be their. "John." Sherlock meekly whispered, squezing his hand hard. John turned around and smiled. "It'll be okay, Sherl. I promise." John said, pulling him into a hug. "Lets go." He whispered back, pulling Sherlock by the hand once more.
"Hello, Sherlock." An older man that looked like Sherlock said, nodding his head. "Father, meet my fiance, John Watson." Sherlock said quietly, getting ready for the wrath that was almost positive to come. "Hello, John." Mr.Holmes said, shaking Johns hand. Sherlock raised an eyebrow at Mycroft, who simply shrugged.
The two family's ended up going to lunch afterwards, having an absolutely wonderful time. Sherlock and John were the first to leave, wanting to get Seattle into 221B. They drove back silently, Sherlock humming along to the radio. As days went, it could've gone worse.
"John, I told you we'd make it. I know your not done with school, but I am, and I have no problem whatsoever waiting for you to finish. But we made it. I knew we would, because we're strong. And we are going to start something here, we're going to start a family." Sherlock said as he lied in bed one night, while John was half asleep. "I love you so much." Sherlock whispered, kissing him,
"Goodnight, Sherlock,"
"Goodnight, John."
