The college roomate (Sherlock/Johnlock/fluff)

Chapter 14

John and Sherlock sat silently in the backseat of a cab. "I don't understand why we couldn't take your car." Sherlock mumbled in displeasure. It was the middle of spring break, and Johns Mum and Dad had invited Sherlock and Him to spend spring break with them so they could meet him. John laughed at Sherlock. "Because my car is in the shop." John grinned, grabbing Sherlocks hand. Sherlock held his hand tightly, and John could tell he was nervous. "Oh Sherlock." John whispered, barely loud enough for Sherlock to hear. Sherlock turned his head around quickly and narrowed his eyes. "What?" He asked. "Nothing. I'm just still sorry about your brother.. Has he tried to talk to you at all?" John asked, concern filling his eyes. Sherlock continued to stare out the window and blankly said.

"He said I was a disgrace to my family, and that I should change my last name. He also said that if I went back to my fathers house now, and left you, that all would be forgiven. I told him I couldn't just leave you like that. Not after everything we've been through, that I care about you." He looked at John and smiled, "That I love you too much." He turned to look out the window again, leaving John speechless. "You chose your own family over me?" John said, speechless. "Well, the ones I don't like." He said, mater-of-factly. John felt a blush coming onto his face. John looked down at the laptop he was using to write, and began to write a short, stupid little story about Sherlock.

 John knew it was corny, and he knew Sherlock wouldn't like it, but he didn't care. Well, he cared a little, but he lied to himself and told him he didn't. "Sherlock, I wrote something for you..." John said, turning to face Sherlock, but was surprised to see him already reading it, eyes moving quickly back and forth. John felt his face turn bright red as Sherlock looked at him. "John.." Sherlock whispered, and that's when John noticed Sherlock had tears in his eyes. 

  "Are you okay, Sherlock?" John asked, getting closer to him. Sherlock looked at John and smiled as tears fell down his face. "No one has ever said anything like that to me, John.." Sherlock said, wiping his eyes. John smiled at him and wiped the rest of his tears off his face. "Well, Its true, you know." He said, laughing a bit. "John, its different because it came from you." Sherlock said, more tears forming in his eyes. John pulled Sherlock into a hug, and felt him let a huge sob came from his body. John held him tight and realized just how much those words meant to Sherlock.

       They arrived a hour later at Johns parents house. Sherlock stopped and started at the house for a moment, and realized this was the house where John grew up. " You ready, Sherlock?" John said, leaning into the cab. "Yeah, I'm coming." Sherlock said, getting out. He stood up and tightened his coat around him, and went and grabbed a bag from the trunk to help John. John and Sherlock walked up to the front door together, and John knocked on the door with a smile on his face. A young woman answered the door and Smiled at him brightly. " John!" The woman exclaimed. "Mum!" John said, and pulled her into a hug. Sherlock watched the two and smiled. "Mum, this is Sherlock, My boyfriend." John said, once they broke apart. "Hello, Sherlock! I'm Mrs.Watson! Its a pleasure to meet you." She smiled at Sherlock, extending her hand. "Nice to meet you, Mrs.Watson." Sherlock said, smiling and shaking his hand.
