A/N I felt like updating this story again so here you go. I hope you enjoy

The Gryffindor common room was full and buzzing with noise. All the Gryffindor were eagerly discussing the prank on Severus. All of them apart from Lily.

"Come on Lily" said girl who was Lily's friend "you've got to admit it was funny"

The girl had short brown hair that barely skimmed her shoulders and a fairly round face, though she wasn't fat. She was quite short, just a bit under 5 feet and had warm brown coloured eyes.

"No, it wasn't Alice!" Said Lily glaring at her friend "it might have been funny to you but Sev did nothing to deserve that"

"Lighten up Lily" said another girl.

This girl had straight dark brown hair, almost black, that fell to her elbows. She was taller than Lily and Alice but not much, and her eyes, juts like Alice's, were a warm brown colour.

"Sure, I'll lighten up Marlene" said Lily as she sat down at a table by the window and began her transfiguration homework "I advise that you two start your homework too"

Not wanting to argue with their already angry friend, Marlene and Alice sat down in front of their friend and began their homework.

At the other side of the common room Remus and Peter sat doing their homework.

"How much longer do you think they will be?" Asked Peter.

Remus put down his quill and massaged his temples. The full moon was approaching, it was on Saturday, meaning Remus had began to start feeling weaker. His muscles had started to ache and he had started to have frequent headaches.

"I don't know Peter" he finally said "but I do hope they come soon because they need to do their homework"

As soon as he had said that the portrait opened and James and Sirius climbed into the common room.

"Remy! Pete!" Exclaimed Sirius walking up to them "Did you miss us!"

Remus rolled his eyes "of course we did"

"Why the sarcasm Remy?" Asked James siting down next to his friend.

"He has a headache" answered Peter.

"It's nothing, I'm fine" said Remus giving his friends a reassuring smile.

"Are you sure?" James asked, he had a look of concern on his face.

"Yes, I'm fine" answered Remus.

"As you say" said James. He looked around the common room, that had now started to empty as people were retreating to bed, and his eyes landed once again on Lily. Subconsciously he ran his hand through his already messy hair and smiled to himself. She's so beautiful he thought.

Lil, who was still doing her homework, felt his gaze on her and grunted. Looking up she caught his eye before rolling her eyes at him and looking back down at her homework. At this James just smirked.

"Just go and ask her out" came Sirius's voice causing James to take his eyes of Lily "what's the worse that could happen?"

"Um, maybe she will reject him" suggested Remus "you know, I don't think she likes him much, well I don't think she likes any of us"

"How can someone not like me" said Sirius outraged.

"She knows we played the prank on Snape-" started Remus.

"So..." interrupted Sirius.

"He was her friend" stated Remus.

"But he deserved what he got" said Peter.
