Chapter 5 - The howler

After transfiguration, which the Gryffindors had with the Ravenclaws, the four boys headed to their next lesson; Herbology.

"Herbology!" Moaned Sirius "but I want to have lunch!"

"Honestly Sirius, you and food" said Remus shaking his head and laughing " you won't die if one day you eat less than you usually do"

"But I could!" Exclaimed Sirius.

"But how likely is that?" Asked Remus raising his eyebrow.

"Well... that's not the point" replied Sirius. He turned to look at Peter and continued "Tell him Pete. Tell him how important food is!"

"Food is important Remus, without it we would DIE!" Said Peter, shouting the last word.

"Exactly Remus!" Said Sirius whilst giving Peter a high five.

"Yes but-" began Remus.

"There are no buts Remus" said Sirius, now starting to wave his hands like a maniac " no food equals death! It's as simple as that"

"Sirius mate, are you okay? I mean I don't think the arm waving is supposed to be normal..." said James mocking Sirius' hand movements.

"Food! I need food!" Sirius started shouting whilst starting to wave his hands faster in the air.

"Food!" Joined in James.

The two boys then started running through the corridors and out towards the herbology greenhouses, whilst other students were jumping out of their way and giving them curious glances.

"Those two are crazy" said Remus shaking his head, he seemed to be doing it a lot lately. Maybe it was because of his two crazy friends but Remus didn't mind. He had friends. To be more precise he had three best friends, even if they were a bit crazy, they were still his friends.

"Yep" said Peter and the two boys started walking in the direction of the herbology greenhouses, the direction their other two friends ran too.

Despite it being September, the sun was blazing outside meaning many of the older years, who had a free period, were lazing about in the sun or were swimming in the black lake. The cerulean blue sky didn't have a cloud in sight and the blazing sun shone brightly, warming everything up. The giant squid had come out from the black lake and was now splashing unsuspecting students as they walked past him so Remus and Peter were careful to walk at a distance away from the squid as neither of them fancied getting wet. When both the boys finally reached the greenhouse they saw that their other two friends hadn't bothered staying away from the squid and were now standing soaking wet.

"So I see the squid managed to get you two" said Remus looking at the two boys.

"Or did you just fall in the lake" added Peter.

"Remy! Pete!" Exclaimed the two boys as they slowly starting walking towards Remus and Peter, their arms outstretched as if asking for a hug, which they were.

"No, no, no!" Stared Remus slowly walking back "I don't-" but was cut of as James and Sirius had embraced the two dry boys in a wet hug.

"AGHHH!" Exclaimed Peter and Remus at the same time, both of them struggling to escape their friends tight embrace. With no luck they stopped struggling and let the boys hug them.

"Boys!" Came a calm voice from behind them.

James and Sirius let go of their two friends, who were now also wet, and looked at the witch that was standing in front of them.
