"What is going on here?" A voice asked.

Coretti growled and pulled out a hockey stick from under the couch where his mother lay passed out.

"Stay away from us mister, I will hurt you!" Coretti's voice was young and strong. His alpha gene pushing through.

Emily, who had hidden behind her elder brother, recognised the faint smell, having a good tracker material nose.

"DADDYYY!!" Emily screamed as she ran to hug her father, not even reaching his waist, and tackled his weak body.

Coretti followed suit and dropped the hockey stick loudly on the floor and ran towards his father.

Emily remembered her mother, and, unwillingly pulled away from her father and tried to pull him urgently towards her mother.

"Daddy, something's wrong with mummy, she fell asleep on the couch. You have to help her, mummy sad" Emily's voice trembled as she ran to her mummy and fixed her blanket.

Eric rushed towards Victoria, his soul, and kissed her to restrore their bond, to wake her up like Sleeping Beauty.

Only things didn't go that way. Victoria felt a surge of power rush through her and it only confused her.

She jerked up, bumping her head into Erics, causing him to fall back on the floor as her kids laughed hard next to the coffee table.

"E-eric?" Victoria questioned, not believing what her eyes clearly saw. "Eric!" She shouted and jumped up, kissing him passionately, ignoring her kids who fake-gagged in the background. Victoria was fussing over Eric like she fussed over her children.

In a way, this was Victoria's stress buster, and a comforter. Victoria didn't have much coddling as a kid, always being teased about it until she finally pushed her mother away, and suddenly it became 'uncool' to be fussed over.

This only fueled the fussing she did now.

The party was in full blast. It had been extremely short-noticed but still grand. Their Alpha had returned and their Luna was back.

The family got an earful before the party. Not from Victoria and Eric, rather from Coretti. It was amusing to see a little kid scolding his grandparents and uncles and aunts because 'if it weren't for them, Emily wouldn't have almost had to each junk'.

It was clear on their faces that they were amused too but tried to hide it as they wanted to indulge him. They tried to explain that they were going to join Victoria and the kids at the park for a surprise picninc, and had been worried when they weren't there. That's why nobody picked up their phones.

"Daddy will you dance with me?" Emily questioned her father as she remembered her schools father-daughter dance competition that they hadn't been able to attend.
