*3rd P.O.V*

Victoria woke to the sun shining on her face. She felt giddy and she and her wolf, both felt content. She felt complete and extraordinarily excited.

She was a bit confused, the memories not hitting her. That was before she felt the sparks running all over her, emanating from her waist.

The soft silk sheets and the feather pillow ruffled as she turned around and coming face-to-face with her second chance mate- Eric.

The memories hit her then. She remembered waking up in the pack hospital and meeting Elizabeth, James, John, Adam and Eric, and everything after that.

She was still oblivious to the marking. She studied Eric's face and saw how the sunlight seemed to be sucked in his dirty-blonde hair forming a crown of sorts.

She couldn't help but observe how his perfectly sculpted nose crinkled under her gaze, albeit he was still asleep.

She saw his perfect red lips which she so badly wanted to taste. She didn't miss the dimples on his cheeks that were prominent as Eric slept with a goofy smile on his face, content with having his mate in his arms.

She saw his long and thick eye lashes that reached his high cheekbones. She knew for sure that these eye lashes only added to the beauty of his deep blue eyes.

She also saw how his hair fell into perfect ringlets on his eyelids and how his perfectly arched eyebrows furrowed as the ringlets that fell on his eyelids bothered him.

Not liking the way it disturbed her mate, Victoria gently pulled her arm from underneath her mate and delicately pushed the hair away.

Eric's face almost immediately relaxed when the tickling sensation left him. Although, the tingling sparks that came should have bothered him but they didn't.

Tori couldn't help it. Even after brushing his hair away from his eyes, she loved the feeling of her hand on his face.

She let her fingers slowly and gently trail down his forehead, to the corner of his eyes and down his cheeks to his dimples and finally at the corner of his lips.

Eric's wolf couldn't help himself. He wanted his human to wake up and take care of his mate. The sparks were turning him on and he knew that his mate wasn't ready for this. She wasn't ready for the next step. Not with the pain still fresh in her mind and heart.

Eric had been in his study, drowning his sorrows into work, as always, when his beta and his siter's mate, Adam sent him a distress call. A rogue had been sighted on the outskirts of his territory and Eric had sent Adam, James and John his best high-rankers to figure it out.

Adam had described the mysterious girl whose rogue scent was faint, as if it was fresh. Rogues have this particular scent on them which alerts a pack if one happens to trespass. Since this rogue's fresh was faint, it had taken some time to locate her.

Adam informed Eric that the girl was skinny, too skinny, she looked exhausted as well and they told him that she was covered in bruises and scars, but no cuts. Her wolf must have helped her out.

Adam also informed Eric that they had asked the girl her reason for trespassing when she came out from behind the rock. Adam knew that she was about to say something but in a flash, her eyes changed for a second and her wolf took over before she screamed an ear piercing scream and then passed out.

Adam had brought her to Eric's mother who also happens to be the pack doctor and she had put the rogue in an induced coma to help her recover. As soon as the work was done, Eric went down to the infirmary when he had seen the most beautiful angel on earth.
