"This is spooky." Peter mumbled as he walked next to Aspen and Tony.

After another small argument, the boy had managed to allow his companions to let him go with them into the base--much to Aspen's dismay. Sure, she understood the reason why he wanted to help, but that didn't mean she actually wanted to let him go. She was still concerned about his safety, no matter how hard she tried to convince herself that she wasn't.

"Alright, get behind me you two." Tony said, pushing Aspen behind him.

He held out his arm and shot a repulser beam at the metal door in front of them, effectively burning a hole through it that they could use to enter.

They walked through and looked around cautiously, but there was no one in sight. The place seemed to be totally abandoned, just like Tony had predicted.

There they were: a man in a metal suit, a boy in red and blue spandex, and a girl wearing all black with blue sneakers marching confidently into a Hydra base. Aspen almost laughed at the situation but held it in, deciding that her twisted sense of humor was not needed at that moment.

"If this place is abandoned, how did we find the location using an electronic signal?" Peter asked, still peering around carefully for any sign of movement.

"That's what we need to find out." Aspen said, following Tony as he led the group.

The young Blue soon figured out that they were walking towards the main building of the old military school. None of them let their guard down the whole walk, and once they finally reached the doors and Tony pushed it open they prepared to fight.

"This doesn't make any sense," Aspen whispered standing up straight. "How can there be no one here but a signal?"

No one answered her question, and they all continued to make their way deeper into the dark halls of the building. They were searching for any signs that would lead them to the core of the base and take them away from the school-looking area.

"Wait," Peter said, grabbing Aspen's arm and halting her movements. "Do you hear that?"

Aspen looked in the direction Peter was staring and walked closer. Coming from the wall was a soft, repetitive beeping sound. It was so subtle that if you weren't listening close enough, you wouldn't hear it.

The girl put her hand on the wall and slowly pressed her ear to it, listening for the sound. The beeping was louder but still muffled and she pulled away, scanning the wall with careful eyes.

She reached up and pulled a poster from the wall slowly. A quick breath was sucked into her lungs when she saw the red painted symbol of Hydra beneath the paper. She dropped the picture and stepped out of the way, turning to the men behind her with a blank expression.

"Tony." She said and walked back to Peter, waiting for Tony to make an entry point for them.

She watched motionlessly as the Hydra symbol was burned away by Tony's beam and Peter looked at her with concern. He reached over and gave her a comforting squeeze on the hand before releasing and walking through the hole after his mentor.

Aspen let out a breath and entered the base. She attempted to push all negative thoughts from her brain as she walked into a place she so desperately wanted to forget. Of course, she had never been to this particular base before, but just knowing that Hydra had once been there made her feel nauseous.

"Wow," she heard Peter breath out in awe and she scanned the area.

All around them were broken computers and burnt papers, and Aspen knew that everything was destroyed so that no one would be able to obtain any information.
