Mason

Adrien was joining drum line.

Adrien was coming to band practice.

ADRIEN IS JOINING THE MARCHING BAND?!

I was silently freaking out while looking out the window with a calm face.

"He's coming to practice tomorrow, so be ready Mari." Tikki told me before walking off to her room.

Alya wiggles her eyebrows at me before unlocking our room. I flopped on my bed groaning.

"Alya, I'm going to see him every practice, Alya, this is not good, I'm trying to get over him."

"Maybe it's not such a bad thing, Adrien might have feelings for you."

"Psh as if, he never talks to me at all, how is that proof of someone having a crush?"

Alya shrugged, "well I'm going to get a shower, you shouldn't stress out about this too much. Maybe you should think about another person...?" She disappeared into the bathroom.

I knew exactly what she meant. She was talking about the guy I get "engaged" to at the end of our show. His name is Mason. Not sure what his last name was though. He was nice, and I could tell he has feelings for me, but I just look at him as a friend.

When she came out, I went in and took my shower with lots of things on my mind.

Since we don't have school yet, Alya, Tikki, and I decided to go shopping for random things.

We were at a sports wear store, when I saw a ladybug-themed tank top.

"Oooh Tikki, this would look good on you!" I exclaimed.

"And I think this would look amazing on you." She showed me a pink tank top, with black swirls on it.

I giggled, "Let's surprise Alya with one that we think she'll like." I whispered to her.

She nodded and we parted ways searching the store.

I was stuck between one with a phone on it, and one with a wifi signal.

Tikki came up behind me and pointed to the wifi one and nodded.

"Okay, now where's Alya?"

Tikki pointed out where she was and we found her with three identical tank tops that were Birthday themed.

"Perfect!" I exclaimed! Matching shirts were the best!

We checked out then went to an early dinner at around two, because we had practice from 4-9, and we couldn't eat right before practice, that would be bad.

We sat down and ordered our food and drinks.

I decided to start our convo, "what do you think of Nino, Alya?" I said sipping my soda causally.

She spluttered, "why do you ask?"

"I think you would be cute together," Tikki chirped.

"I think you and Plagg would be cute," I said to her.

"I-I, He d-doesn't like me, w-why do you think that?" She stuttered.

I shrugged, "Just a thought."

"What about Mason?" Alya asked.

I immediately told them off about it, and it got to the point where we were all laughing uncontrollably. We finished eating and went to get ready for practice tonight.

Carpooling as usual, we all got out and headed towards the band room to get the rest of our equipment. I grabbed my saber, rifle, and flags, and made my way over to the field.

It didn't start for another 10 minutes, so I decided to practice my quad with my rifle. (A quad is basically a rifle spinning in the air four times before being caught)

Just as I released my rifle, I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey."

"AH!" My rifle was flipping in the air at dangerous angles. I pushed the person behind me away for their safety, before running away a bit myself. Once it hit the ground, I picked it up and looked down to see none other than Mason, still on the ground.

I gave him a glare, and he grinned.

"That wasn't funny! You scared me and made me release it wrong, it could have hurt someone!"

"It was funny to see your reaction though."

I rolled my eyes, then the band director told us to get set for a run of the show.

***7 min later***

We were rehearsing the set where I was in the middle of the circle the band creating around me. Since one person quit, Adrien was now a person to "propose" to me, and get rejected. 'Okay,' I thought, 'I can do this, be cool.'

I looked into his green eyes as jumped back and turned away from him. 'There, see? Not so hard.'

To my annoyance, we practiced from there to the end, for most of the practice. While we were at the end, Mason leaned in and actually kissed my cheek, instead of going behind my head like he was instructed. I had to keep my feelings in until practice was over.

"BAND TEN!"

"HUT!" We all said.

"Dismissed."

I walked over to Mason and passed him saying, "you're supposed to go behind my head, you know." Then went to join Alya and Tikki, who were talking to Plagg, Nino, and oh no Adrien!

Walking over anyways, I heard Alya ask him, " How was your first practice?"

"Tiring, but I like it! Just not when I got rejected." He gave me a sad look and put a fist over his heart.

I rolled my eyes and smiled, "Get used to it, it will happen all summer long."

He pouted, I turned to Alya, "ready?"

"Sure, bye guys!"

We got to the dorms at the exact time Adrien, Nino, and Plagg got there. It was then that I realized, that Adrien and Nino were right across the hall from us.

"Good night girls," Nino winked at Alya before closing his door. Plagg and Tikki smiled knowingly, then walked to their rooms.

*sighs in defeat* 1,018 words....... gosh that's a lot for me, especially at midnight. I'm excited now because I finally started the plot. (sort of) so I'm probably going to update very soon, so keep a look out.
