Marinette's POV

Friday was here, and I wasn't sure if I was so happy about it or not. Honestly, I'm scared that Mason will suddenly confess his feelings, or I'll trip over nothing.

'But this will be a good way to get over Adrien! You can finally like someone else that you may actually have a chance with!'

I tied my hair in two pigtails, put on a pink shirt and jean-shorts, and got ready for 4:30 to come.

*time skip bc I have no idea what to write*

Mason took me to a small restaurant that had super good food, but hardly anyone came, because the restaurant didn't have much money, and couldn't afford to have their outside done nicely.

We ordered, then Mason decided to start up a conversation.

"So, besides Color Guard, what do you do in your free time?" He said leaning his chin on his hand.

"Oh, I design, and...... umm... I think marching band took over my life!" I said realizing how boring my life is without band.

"Haha, same, band kind of swallowed my soul and didn't let me do anything else."

"Band is harder this year though, the work you need to memorize is a lot at one time, band camp is horrible, and they expect so much!" I exclaimed.

"I agree, it's more serious than high school, and we don't have competitions, but it's still fun."

"I agree, once the season sta-" my phone rang.

"Can I take this?" I asked him.

He nodded and I answered.

"Hi Alya."

"Oh my gosh girl, you are not going to believe what just happened."

"Okay what happened?" I send a confused look over to Mason.

"Nino asked me out!!! I couldn't believe it! Tikki and I were at the mall and Nino comes over with Plagg and he asked me out to dinner! It was funny to watch Tikki and Plagg though, they are definitely going to become a couple soon. How's your date going?"

"Good, but I would love to get back to it. I'm so happy for you though, I know you've liked him for a bit now."

"Oh, sorry thanks! Bye girl!"

"Bye Alya!"

I put away my phone, and looked at Mason, who was patiently waiting for me. What a gentleman.

"Well, the big news was the Nino asked out Alya at the mall."

"Really?! So that curvy girl finally got asked out by him? Wow that took awhile, I've been shipping that for years!"

"Yes I know! I kept telling her to talk to him, but she never does." I exclaimed.

"Maybe we can double date?"

I plopped on my bed when I got into my room still processing what just happened.

Adrien's POV

"No way dude, you finally got the guts to ask her out?!" I asked surprised

"Yep, he did I was there next to him!" Plagg conformed.

"I can't believe she said yes! I thought she would say 'maybe' or 'I can't', but she actually said 'yeah! Definitely!' And winked at me!" Nino was freaking out.

"Right, now all we need is Plagg to man up and ask Tikki out." I teased.

"Not till you ask Marinette." Plagg said looking at his feet.

"She has a boyfriend! Marinette went on a date with him! I can't ask her out now, that's a great way to ruin my friendship with her!" I yelled.

"Mmhmm I thought we told you that Mason is a player." Nino said calmly.

"Yeah, and that he may be tricking Marinette." Plagg added to Nino.

"Yeah, but she has to see it for herself, she won't believe me."

I was on break watching the color Guard spin their flags, of course I was just watching two particular people. Marinette and Mason.

'Ugh, even their names contain alliteration, both starting with 'm'' I thought.

I was watching their ending of the show and had this feeling I couldn't explain in my stomach.

'They are both acting more like a couple now' I thought as he leaned in to kiss her cheek.

I sighed and went back to Nino and Plagg to chat.
