04. Birthday Special

"Baby bear..." He called and approach me after wave good bye with the rest of BTS members. "I told you to go home first, it's late and cold. Are you okay?" He scold me, but worries are all over his face.

Taehyung quickly rubbing his palm to makes it warmer and cupped both of my cheeks. "You're cold. Aish, wear this. Where is your beanie?" He took off his beanie and make me wear it.

"I left it accidentally, plus I'm not that cold. Your presence here makes me warmer." I smiled, still staring at his beautiful pair of big eyes.

Although he already removed his contacts and his hair are not styled up anymore, for me he still look beyond perfect. His oversize coat pair up with turtle neck sweater inside makes him looks more fluffy then he already is.

Our hands are interwining down there while silence playing between us as we just staring to each other eyes and draw a smile for few seconds. Not forget about the fact that we're in the roadside, and it's passed midnight now.

"Whoa~ the snow is falling." He muttered as he look upwards to the sky, smiling.

I followed his eyes and smile before glance back at him. "Taehyung." I called slowly and he return it with a hum, after set his focus back on me.

"Happy birthday, my love, my life, my other-half, my soulmate, my everything. Thanks for existing in my world. Your presence is so important to me. I'm so happy and grateful that you born in the same life time as mine. I can't be more happier to able call you mine." I said those words slowly and my eyes never leave him.

I watched his every moves. His eyes was turn into eyes smile, but it's still sparkling. His smiles never left his face. Then slowly, he let go of hands, as he pull me closer to his chest, hugging me tightly as he buried his face to my neck.

It feel so warm.

"Thank you, Yoonji. Why you become this cheesy out of sudden. You makes me want to cry you know." He chuckles a bit. So that's why he hugged me.

"Pabo (idiot) honey bear.. I just stating the truth. I really mean it, you know." I pout slightly before hug him back, pat his back. I knew he like this kind of comforting method - someone patting his back slowly -

"I know. I know." He replied and parting the hug, and he really didn't lie when he said he cried. I can clearly see his glistening eyes because of tears.

"Ey, stop crying." I chuckles slowly and tip toeing hard to peck his eyes. "You're too tall." I mumbles and he just laugh at me.

"Let's go to your apartment then. I want to cuddles with you all night long."

"Later." I smirk and Taehyung furrow his eyebrow.

"Then? What are we going to do now?"

"I want fulfill your wish, since it's your birthday." I replied and pull him to somewhere.

"Are you serious?" Taehyung asked in horror after I pull him to this tent.

I smile to reassured him and pull him to sat down on the empty seats.

"But Yoonji, you dislike alcohol, no. You hate it. What are we doing here?"

"I knew you always wanted to drink with me, but you never ask me, since you know how much I hate it. But today, I really wanted to do this with you." I explain to him, since he looks very surprised. "It's your birthday, I want you to be happy."

"But you don't have to force yourself. I'm more than happy that I can spend a day with you." He frowned not agree with the idea.

"I'm not. I'm gonna be fine, come on. It's not that I never drink alcohol before."

"Baby bear, you only drank once and it's when we met for the first time. And, you looked really messed up that night." He chuckles recalled the memory.

"Really? Did I really look that bad?" I asked trying to remember what happened that night.

I only remember I had a very bad day, so that night I went out to bar and drink the alcohol for the first time. I know how much I hate it, but at that moments, that's the only way for me to escape.

"You don't even empty a bottle yet you already collapsed. I know I was drunk too, but I'm not as drunk as you. We danced and later when I send you back home, you even asked me to stay over, like I'm stranger but you-"

"But now, I have you with me. Please, just a bottle then well go home." I beg, showing him my puppy eyes.

Taehyung look away, avoid my attack and chuckles. "Fine, baby bear. Just one bottle." He smile before order a bottle of soju.

"Baby bear, you know what. I really thankful for that bad day we both had at that day." He started after both of us take few shots of soju. I started to feel heat up.

"Why? You're thankful for that bad day?"

"Because if that bad day didn't exist, I will never met you." He replied, smiling beautifully.

"Tell me what happened that night, I want the details!!"

"I remember I met you in that bar, the lights was dimmed and although you were drunk and in a mess, I can see how beautiful you are."

"Are you telling the truth now, or just-"

"I always telling the truth when I drunk." He quickly cut off and pour the soju to my empty glass. "Even though you were drunk, I believe in your words."

"You told me I'm handsome." He replied and I laugh hard, at this moment, I'm still very awake and I'm not drunk yet.

"Don't laugh. You really did but the most important think you tell me is, " He paused as his eyes meet mine, while I curiously wait him to continue, "I don't know what happened to your day, but one thing for sure, your smile. Smile more, it will bring happiness to people around you, and of course, yourself. You're more than enough, Taehyung." He said and I can't believe I can talk about things like that when I was drunk.

"After that, we danced the night away. My hands were on your waist while yours around my neck. Other guys who tried to touch you will received my death glares, and although you're not my girlfriend yet but I knew I loved you then." He chuckles, throwing his gaze on me.

I feel hot out of sudden, not sure if it's the alcohol effect or is it because of him.

"Stop flirting."

"I'm not." He deny and continue, "I knew I loved you then, but you'd never know because I played it cool when I was scared of letting go."

"I know, you're good at playing cool. Just right now." I teased him and he shake his head, while smiling all the way.

"I remember when I sent you home, you were throwing up. I held your hair back carefully. I know since then you're not having a good relationship with alcohol." He said eyeing me, who already half collapsed on the table, with my arms supporting my head.

"Let's go. I'll finish it while cuddling up with you if you want but we need go back now." He continue and I just grin, let him do what he wanted to.

Both of you and Taehyung arrived in your apartment, and he suddenly carry you with bridal style to your bed. You giggles when he lay you down carefully, still try hard to stay sober.

"That giggles, that little smile of yours could make makes me sober just in flash of lights." He whisper as he trailing his fingers over your face.

You still had your arms around his neck, not wanting to let him go.
⠀
"Let go of me awhile, baby bear. You need to change your clothes and so am I. I'll get your pyjamas and-"

"Fine..." you loosened your arms from him and let him go, he give you a quick peck before gone to grab home wear for you and himself.

After he help you to wash your face and brushing teeth together with him, now he sat you down in front of the mirror and start combing your hair.

"Tae, you know I can do that my self."
⠀
"I know. I just wanted to do it for you." He smile to my through your reflection on the mirror.

"In our future, I'll do this to you every night too, you know? Then, in the morning, I wake you up with some breakfast in bed. I'll bring you coffee with a kiss on your head. And I'll take the kids to school, wave them goodbye and I'll thank my lucky stars for that night, and every single night that I have when I'm with you."

You turn around to face him, wondering whats got into him, but he just flash you his smile and lead you to the bed.

"Are you hungry?" He asked out of sudden, but you nod, purposely.

"Hungry of your love." you tease him and he laugh, messing with your hair slowly.

"Baby bear, I'm so in love with you and I hope you know. Darling, your love is more than worth its weight in gold. We've come so far my dear, look how we've grown and I wanna stay with you until we're grey and old."

"What's with the chessy and cringy lines?"

"I know you love it, you can't lie to me." He giggles and at this point he already laid you down gently, and hovering you. "You know, I really need you, especially in day like this. I almost really gone mad earlier when the manager and Namjoon hyung pranked me, saying we'll have to recording for a special new song tonight. I almost screaming at them."

"I thought I'm the one who is more needy than you, since it's always me who ask for meeting you, dating, and ask you to come over."

"I knew I needed you, I always do. It's just I never showed it." He kissed your cheeks tenderly and you were thankful since your room was dark enough, so he won't notice your blushing mad cheeks.

"The time when you were away from me, those are the moment I dislike the most." you muttered, think about those time, when Taehyung should leave you most of the time to overseas. Even when he's around in the city, he still drowns in lots of schedules.

"Do you know what scare me the most?" He asked and as he continue play with your hair. You just shake your head lightly.

He changed the position as he lay beside you and pull you to lay on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"What scare me the most is when I see you hurted. When you cried, and when you sad, especially because of me. Like what happened few days ago. You remember?" He asked, hands still pat your hair slowly. His tone was serious and you know he really mean it. What happened that day was pretty serious.

"Min Yoonji! Listen to me!!" Taehyung appear in front of you, no matter what direction you heading to, he keep following you until you listen to him. You know he only called your full name when he's really frustrated.

"Leave me alone, please. I'm letting you go, if you really wanted to be with her so bad." you muttered weakly without any expression. You've cried too much earlier when you both argue earlier. You just too tired for raising your voice anymore.

Taehyung softened at your action, his hand slowly approaching yours, and you can feel that his hand was cold, as cold as the winter night.

"No, don't let me go." He cried but you didn't burden. "Yoonji-ah, don't be like this. I admitted, it's my fault for lying to you. Yes I lied about having practice. That because I knew you dislike her, but she invited all of us to her party, and I will feel bad if the other came and I didn't, so I lied but the kiss was really accident. I really didn't mean to do that. All I want is you." He confessed. His voice was trembling.

Slowly you look up to him who also bow his head down, and you knew he was crying just by his trembling voice.

"Don't ask me to leave you alone. No matter what happened, I will never let you go, even when you push me away. I won't let you go." He continue sternly, shaking his head but you still stay silent.

The photo where him and that girl kissing was still fresh in your mind and your heart was aching much because of it. It's so hurt that you feel like dying.

"What if that was a lie from you too? I will never know, Taehyung." you finally speak up, as sad smile draw on your lips. Taehyung's open his lips about to say something, but you cut him off. "You're always somewhere that far from me. I don't know what actually happen around you, and all I could do is trust you, but tonight...tonight.." you didn't manage to finish since you burst into tears.

In a blink of an eye, Taehyung pulled you to his embrace and you cried harder. You tried to push him away but he held you tighter.

"Let me go!!! Let me go!!"

"I won't!! I told you I will never let you go! You can hit me as hard as you want, but please don't leave me, and don't ask me to leave you!! Because I can't!!" He replied, hold you tighter. "I never lied, I swear I never did. Tonight is the first and last. I promise!! Please believe in me, Yoonji-ah.."

You can't reply, only keep crying but you become weaker sooner and in no time you faint in his embrace. You forgot to have proper meal that day. It was your deadline day and you were very busy, so you missed breakfast and lunch. You were planning to have a good dinner, but a photo that sent from a stranger killed your appetite.

The next morning, when you woke up Taehyung were there by your side. He looks absolutely in a mess, eyebag, messy hair, pale skin, and very unhealthy. He keep apologized and explain everything again and again until you can't help but forgive him and give him a second chance to trust him again.

"Yes, I do." you answered and you can feel his grip on you become tighter.

"That's so scary. I was so panicked when you fainted that suddenly I forgot all members number. I can't even remember any of it. Please don't do something like that anymore. Don't ever leave me like that. I think I won't be able to live without you."

"Then never lie to me, I hate liar the most."

"I promised. I told you I won't, right?"

"I believe in you. I love you and I really don't want to lose you. I know I'm lacking in so many area but I can love you the best, so please just love me. Only me, for a very very long time." You stretch your neck up to him, as you pouting like a kid.

"I'm gonna love you 'til my lungs give out. I promise that it's just you and me, there is no anyone else until we're grey and old. Just say you won't let go."

And with that sentence of yours, he lean closer to give you a long passionate kiss. His fingers held your cheeks gently as he deepened the kiss, wanna let you feel his love for you. His other hand pull you closer to him, so theres no more gap between both of you.

Both of you don't know what storms will coming in future, but both of you believe, as long as you never let go of each other, you will last, forever.
