Your P.O.V

I turned around to see my brother, Gene. "Gene!" I squeaked as I ran up to him to give him a bear hug. "Hey Y/N! It's been a while! I missed you!" Gene beamed and laughed. "I missed you too! Where have you been?" I asked, breaking the hug. "I've been working a lot. I'm trying to save up to get myself a house. The apartment is just not right for me," he explained. "Wow. Well, I hope you find a house," I continued, "Anyway! Why are you at the carnival? Are you here with friends?" "I'm here with my friends to have some fun together," he said. I smiled. "Gene..." Garroth growled. "Hey Garroth! How's it going?" Gene asked. "I'm good. But why are you here?" Garroth asked while gritting his teeth. "What? I can't hang out with my friends? Anyway, I've changed since high school. I'm really sorry for how I treated you back then. Can we start over?" Gene asked. "I'm not sure. I don't trust you," Garroth stated. Gene just shrugged and waved goodbye. He walked off to two other people. Must be his friends.

"What was up with you and Gene?" I asked Garroth, concerned. "He just...he wasn't a good guy back in high school," he replied. "Oh yeah...he kept skipping school and bullying people. Him and his group, The Shadow Knights," I stated. "You knew about that?" Garroth asked. I nodded, "Remember how I said I was not social and many boys liked me back then?" "Yeah," he relied. "That was in Phoenix Drop High," I bluntly said. He just stood there, shocked. "I actually remember all of you guys back then. I was just to shy to say hi. When I met you guys when I moved, you guys looked familiar and so I pretended that I did not know you guys. You and Laurance were the most popular guys at school. That's how I remembered you," I explained. "I-I never knew...wait...so you're the girl many guys talked about?  I always heard guys talking about a girl during class and I never knew who she was. Now I know who she was...it was you," he explained. I blushed slightly. "Anyway, I'm sorry about what Gene did you all of you guys. I lived with him of course, so I knew everything that happened between him and you guys," I apologised. "It's alright. I still don't trust him though," he replied.

Talking about the past brought back memories - bad ones to be honest. I might have to explain everything to the others at one point. Garroth and I walked around while holding hands for a few minutes until a voice called us, sounded like Laurance, "Y/N! Garroth! Over here!" We turned around and walked over to the group. Looks like Dante bumped into Gene because they were chatting. "Are you guys hungry?" Katelyn asked the group. "Yes!!!" Aphmau and I shouted in unison. We both laughed. We walked over to a hot dog stand and ordered ourselves our hot dogs. I was just casually eating my hotdog when I notice the sun setting. "Wow....the sky looks beautiful," I sighed quietly, but someone heard me. "N-Not as beautiful as y-you," Mr Stutter King complimented. I blushed a little and smiled while looking at the ground. "Thanks," I simply replied. After a good ten minutes of eating and talking, we headed out to play more carnival games. I never thought that Garroth was so good at the ring toss. Seeing him throw the ring  as the wind blows against him and having his hair block his vision, he still got the ring on the bottle. The way his eyes glisten from the sunlight, it's breathtaking. I might be going crazy or I might just watch way too many romance movies that add to my cliche mind. What others must see is just a normal Garroth throwing rings with the wind blowing. I see it as if he's going in slow motion, as if the world is slowing down around us so it's just the two of us there. Wait... too cliche! Stop it mind!

I broke out of my trance once I realised that I was staring. I blushed and hid my face with my hair. Garroth must have noticed since he asked what wrong, "You alright?" I nodded and smiled. I yawned realising how tired I was. "Tired? Don't worry, I can take you home now," Garroth insisted. I smiled. He can be a very sweet guy at times. We informed the others and went back to my house.

"Thank you for this night, Garroth. I enjoyed myself very much," I thanked. A blush crept onto Garroth's cheeks. I giggled. "It's no problem. Oh and Y/N?" He asked. I looked up. The next thing I knewI felt a warm set of lips being pressed against mine. I went wide eyed, but later sinked into the kiss. For some reason, I felt a spark between us once our lips connected. His lips were smooth....sweet. We pulled away. Our eyes met with each other and blush appeared on both of our cheeks. I was speechless, I didn't know what to say. "Goodnight," he said with a smile, as he walked away to his house. "Night," I replied.
