(8) Maid for the Job

Your P.O.V

"What to do, what to do..." I ponder. After buying (Did I mention that I didn't rent the house?) the house with my savings, I realised that I was running a little low on money. I might need to find a job as soon as possible. I mean, I need to have money to pay electrical bills and what not. Especially my lovely brownies. I get out of bed and walk downstairs to my kitchen. You have got to be kidding me!? I need to buy groceries! And I don't have the ingredients to make any more brownies. Maybe I could go to the girl's house and see if maybe Kawaii~Chan is up for making some brownies. I get dressed and go to the girls house. Before I arrived at the girls house, I hear a familiar deep voice call my name, "Y/N! Hey!"I turn around to see Aaron jogging over to me. "Hey, Aaron," I smile. "Where are you going?" He asks. "To the girl's house. I'm seeing if Kawaii~Chan is up for making brownies," I reply. "OK. Well, have a nice day, beautiful," He mumbles the last part, which I didn't hear. "What was that?" "Nothing!" And with that, he jogs away.

That was weird. I continue to walk to the girls house and knock on their door. "Someone's at the door!" I hear Katelyn yell. I giggle. "Kawaii~Chan will get it!" Kawaii~Chan yells back. Perfect. Kawaii~Chan opens the door with a big smile. Her smile grows bigger once she sees me. "Oh, hello Y/n~Senapi!" She cheers brightly as her eyes glistens against the sunlight. "Hey Kawaii~Chan! I was wondering if we can make brownies together? Like at your place? Because I don't have enough ingredients," I laugh nervously. "Of course! Come on in," she lets me in her house. "Hey, do you know any jobs I could go for at the moment? I'm thinking of getting a job to earn a bit of money," I ask. "Well, you can alwayS go for the Maid Cafe," she suggested. A maid cafe? I have never heard of that before. Is it like a cafe full of maids? Wait what.... "What's a maid cafe?" I question, tilting my head. "It's a Super cute cafe, where the employees wear maid outfits!" She explained. Wait what??? Maid outfits!? Well, if I want to make some money, I might as well sacrifice myself. I'm not the type that wears girly outfits casually. I would only wear girly outfits if I were to cosplay. But I mostly go for the non girly cosplays, like a Chat Noir cosplay. (I'm so sorry if you don't like Miraculous! Or even know the show. I just love that show and Chat is my senpai! And Adrien hehe. I just thought of that cosplay for fun) "I Guess I'll go for it. When can I ask to join?" I ask. "We can go now if we want! I actually don't work there yet.... but we can go together if you want?" I Guess that would be fine. At least if we both get the job, I will have a Friend to talk to. "Let's go then!" I say.

We walk out of the house and stroll towards the city. The café is actually right next to the city, not in it. Which is pretty convenient as we only need to walk fifteen minutes. The weather is beautiful today. The wind blowing against my face (making my hair go all over my face at the same time), brings some chills down my spine. It's not cold, but cooling. As we arrive at the café, I couldn't help but notice an elderly woman with her three grocery bags on the ground. She's trying to pick up at least two of them. But failing at every attempt. "Hold on, Kawaii~Chan," I say as I quickly jog over to the elderly woman. "Excuse me? Sorry to bother you, but you seem to be struggling to carry these bags. Do you mind if I help you?" I ask while slowly going down to pick up one of the bags. She looks up and smiles once her eyes meet mine. "Why thank you young lady. I just need to bring these to my car over there," She points to a small red Mini. "No problem at all! I just really thought that I should help," I reply. She hands over her car keys to me. I pick up the  three bags and bring them over to her car. I unlock the car and place the bags in the car boot. "Thank you so much! I would have not brought these bags to my car if it wasn't for you," She thanks me. "Like I said, It's no problem!" I smile.

I quickly jog back to Kawaii~Chan, who appears to be on her phone. "Sorry for making you wait, Kawaii~Chan. I just had to help that lady," I apologise. "It's okay! Kawaii~Chan actually recorded your kind act and is now sending the video to everyone!" She cheers. "Really? Oh...okay. Nevermind, let's just go inside," I say as I walk into the building that looks like pink vomited all over it. The place had a very sweet feel to it. The smell of the freshly baked goods make my mouth water. We go to the front desk and Kawaii~Chan goes all out with the talking. I stand there awkwardly, waiting for the conversation between Kawaii~Chan and the lady at the front desk to end. I am still able to listen to their conversation. "Actually, we do urgently need new staff for the café, so you're both hired! Oh and by the way, my name is, Renée. I'm the manager here," Renée explains. Wow...we go the job straight away? Well that's good. "Thank you so much!" Kawaii~Chan thanks Renée. "Thank you," I simply thank, smiling. "You guys can go to the back and get changed into your outfits," she points to a door right at the back of the café. Kawaii~Chan and I walk inside and see a rack full of different coloured maid outfits. I pick a/an F/c coloured one and try it on in the changing stall. It surprisingly fits quite well! I don't look that bad. Although, the skirt is a bit too short in my opinion. I walk out and I see Kawaii~Chan dressed in a pink maid outfit. She looks so cute! She squeals when she sees me,"Y/n~Senpai! You look so cute in that maid outfit!" I look down in slight embarrassment. "Well, let's go start our new jobs!" I say as I walk out of the room.

I see a table with three women. Looks like they just finished ordering. I walk nearby them and one of them waves to me. I walk over to their table and ask, "Yes?" "We're ready to order," one lady says. "Sure!" I say as I take out a note and pen that I took from the shelf. Once they finish ordering their food, I bring the slip of paper to the kitchen to inform the chefs.

I hear the bell at the door ring. I turn to the direction of the door to become wide eyed. Garroth, Laurence, Dante and Travis are all here in the café. Why?! Urg!! I pace around for a few seconds until I stop, accepting defeat. I watch them sit down around a table. I have to do this. Kawaii~Chan is busy with other customers, and I'm free. I take four menus and walk over to their table. "Hey guys," I awkwardly say as I look around the café, avoiding contact with the guys. "Y/n?!" They all day in unison. "Yup..what would you like to order?" I say. They all order their food. Before I leave their table, in the corner of my eye, I see Travis looking up and down at me. "Can you not check me out, Travis?" I ask. "But why, baby? You look so cute in that maid outfit! Especially with that skir-" Travis was cut off by Laurance slapping his face. "Owwww!" Travis groans in pain. I giggle. I shake my head and give the order to the kitchen.

The day goes by quickly. Kawaii~Chan and I change out of our maid outfits and leave the café. "That was actually enjoyable!" I admit. "It was so fun too!" Kawaii~Chan replies. That's when it hits me. I can't believe I totally forgot about the 'making brownies' idea. "So, want to make some brownies at your place?" I ask.

Finally! I'm so sorry! I've been soooo busy with homework, studying for tests etc. My exams are coming up in like 1 week so I won't be able to update you guys for a while.
