•The Earth Is Loose•
The charred, blackened, hostile earth is unsettled
It was your presence,
A simple thing,
That posed the biggest threat to it.The contract until now locked me into an existence dictated by the earth I place my feet.
My feet burn like a forest fire,
Because they are cursed by the understanding that flight is a futile teenage ambition,
Fueled by love and hormones,Oh, how naïve I'd have to be to indulge in it,
To allow it to overwhelm me,
Yet the earth is loose,
And I must choose with whom I align,
I have no doubts anymore,
I have no rationality anymore,
(The fires that charred this earth burned that eras ago)For I am saturated with a recklessness that has been like an agile blade to many...
And there it goes:
Caving in,
Forcing me to shake sentimentally,As I finally confess that I will make a life for myself that is forged in an alliance with spontaneity...
