I flopped down on the old tan couch as Avri ran up the wooden stairs.

"You're not supposed to be running!" I heard a shout from her and then the water started running.

I looked around for the remote and found it stuffed between the coushions. Flipping through the channels, I settled on Scooby Doo. I watched as Scooby and Shaggy found all the clues and uncovered the mystery without the whole gang to prove that they could do anything by themselves.

"Scooby Doo?" I twisted around and sat her standing in an oversized Harvard sweat shirt with a white towel in her hands and her blonde hair dripping. My mind went blank, my jaw went slack, and all I could see was her. Standing in the doorway with the most beautiful smile on her face, she curled the towel around her hair and came to sit next to me. "Careful," she leaned close-three inches away-to my face and squinted, "I think I see a bit of drool." I rolled my eyes but self cautiously whipped my chin. She laughed, laid the towel down on the table, and snuggled up on my side. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her closer and she laid her head on my chest. I rubbed my thumb on her smooth, bare thigh and breathed in her scent. Apples and Dove. She always smelled like that and I loved it.

We watched two more shows before I heard a squeal and light, running footsteps.

"Avi!!" Cari jumped on top of us and we all laughed. "Look what we got for you!" She calmed and sat in my lap, pulling items out of a bag.

"Oh, wow," Avri ran her fingers over the soft black shirt and the light, ripped jeans. Cari held a orange rock necklace out and pulled a Converse box or of a red bag. Avri gasped when she saw it.

"No!" Cari giggled and nodded.

"We did! Open it!" Avri lifted the lid slowly and covered her mouth with one of small hands while keeping o e around my neck. She pulled out a pair of solid orange high top Converse.

"OH MY GOD THEY'RE AMAZING! She laughed and jumped up, "I'm  going to go put them on!" She leaned down and pressed her lips to mine so quickly, I almost missed it. Her lips were smooth and small and it felt just like it had in the dream, except 100,000 times better. My face was flaming as she ran up the stairs as if that was normal. 'Cause it wasn't. At all. I wish it was. I wish that I could hold her in my arms and kiss her until our lips were numb and we couldn't breathe anymore. I wanted to feel what it was like for her to run my fingers through my hair and pull me closer when I pulled away. I wanted to feel what it was like to to kiss her until we fell asleep with out mouths still pressed together. I wanted to feel what it was like for her to be mine.

"Okay," a soft voice came from behind the wall, "Are yall ready?" Me and Cari stood and walked to an open spot.

"Yes," I breathed quietly while Cari jumped down and clapped her hands.

The girl who walked out was one I had never seen before but wanted to stare at the rest of my life. She had two braids in front of her shoulders and she only had a tiny bit of lip gloss and a a darkness that  lined her eyes and made them look gold. The shirt fit loosely and floated down past her waist and her jenas hugged her legs tightly. The light pants had rips in them and showed patches of her tan legs all the way up past the bottom of the shirt. She had rolled up the jeans just above the dull orange Converse.

"Well don't just stare there gaping," she said nervously. Cari ran up to her and hugged her.

"You look amazing!" Avri looked at me from under her long lashes. I smiled softly and tilted my head a little.

"Yeah. Better," I whispered and a slight blush crept up her cheeks, making her even more beautiful.
