I figured since I had some downtime and NaivEevee tagged me in this, I might as well. My mind is a blur right now, so I figured this is probably the best use of my time.

1. Describe yourself as a character in a fanfic.

Seated over his desk, hastily scrawling notes onto one of the many platoons of papers that had infested his workspace, he continued to work. Behind his hazed glasses were two blue eyes, radiant beacons for those whose lives he wanted to touch with his work. Although he spoke the language of analytics and results, a part of him still couldn't give up the fact that maybe, just maybe, he had succeeded. At least, that's what he hoped, as his pencil continued to fly across the papers in front of him.

2. Ritual for before/after/during writing?

Honestly, I physically cannot start writing until I've clearly and neatly outlined what I'm going to write about. Even in closely-knit fanfictions like The Hybrid Experiment or the one I'm currently working with, Everlasting Imperishable Night, I write more notes on what I want to say than I do in school, sometimes. So I guess carefully mapping out every detail is a ritual for me.

3. Favorite Fanfic to write?

The Hybrid Experiment. It's been near and dear to my heart ever since I took that story that twelve-year-old me brought to life, and remastered it to what it is, today. Back in the day, I used to put myself in Voltflare's metaphorical shoes- in fact, that's where I got the inspiration for the story. I didn't think that I fit in.

4. Authors you admire?

Hm... I'll start with a few that I think would actually notice me back xD

There's others there, but I don't really know if they think the same of me as I do of them. But I'll mention some here, anyway!

Evvycat (Shiny, despite grammatical mistakes, is still one of the greatest fanfics I've ever read on this site, and I'm always waiting for the sequel)

NaivEevee (That art of yours makes me feel alive. Don't doubt yourself, even if you're not "feeling artistic." And, no, that's not just because I'm so anxious to see you finish doing all of the Cosmos. I really do like seeing your art, and it makes me happy when you send it to me, right before we strike up a conversation over something)

d_s_t_e (You're one of the people that actually helped break my writer's block that's been here for around a month a half, and the way you behold authors' work is something that many would be jealous to be able to reciprocate)

5. How many words can you write in one hour if you concentrated?

Let me just cite chapter four from Everlasting Imperishable Night. It took me about 7-8 hours of work to plan out and write the roughly 15000 words of that chapter. So, I would say I could do maybe 3000 well-written words if I knew exactly where I was going. If I wasn't pouring my heart and soul into it, though, my words per minute suggests that I could do ~5000 in an hour.

6. First Fanfic pairing and plot?

The Hybrid Experiment, as I said before, was written by me when I was twelve. While I'd love to say that it was my first, because remastering it was the greatest feeling ever for me, that would simply be wrong. In my younger years, I believe I had written a pseudo-retelling of Yoshi's Island, although many details were different, such as Baby Bowser being replaced by straight-up Bowser, among other things, but I have no idea where the manuscript went.
