To be honest, I don't think any of my midnight rambling would make much sense if nobody knew who I am. My name is Risk, and I'm a Riolu. I try to be cheerful around my friends (most of the time), but I'm quick to give my enemies the "way of the sword," as I've heard it called.
While some people look down on me for this hastiness, I won't ever let that stop me from fighting for justice. Sometimes, I just feel like I have so much riding on my shoulders, it's practically overwhelming.
Although I've never been good with introductions myself, I figure that it is only natural to introduce my comrades, as well. I'm the leader of a Silver Rank rescue team named the Crusaders. Currently, the team has 6 members, counting myself- Riku, Alpha, Beta, Photon, Cedric and me. Riku is a compassionate little Shaymin that had an unfortunate run-in with an angry Gengar that left him cursed and afraid for tomorrow. But, even before I knew about his curse, I was the first to accept him as a friend, and I now think that's something that he needed. Riku is also able to draw out pain from others using his paws to siphon it out of somebody else like a verdant piston. I habe a feeling this is a result of his curse, but Riku's healing touch and power are invaluable to the team.
Next, Alpha and Beta are twin Mawile. Alpha is the older of the two by a few minutes, and he likes to flaunt that fact to his sister. Nevertheless, the two make an excellent combination, and they each have their own little quirks to help out the team, whether it be in battle, post-skirmish trauma, or just having a fun time in general. Alpha is the more experienced fighter, and, if you're on the receiving end of his horn-jaw... Well, good luck with that! Anyway, Alpha cares deeply for his sister, and he'll do anything to keep her out of harm's way. I like to think of him as our team's sentinel.
Beta, on the other hand, is quite different than your average Mawile. She found, with quite a shock, that she had two different stomachs- one that could leak digestive enzymes into her horn-jaw, and one that could do the exact opposite. This caught me by surprise the first time I met her and Alpha. What a scare that was at first- when she put me in her horn-jaw, I thought I was going to die! Now, Beta is our team's healer, and she gives everyone a laugh from time to time when she places a random Crusaders (usually me) in her horn-jaw. Although it actually feels good to be in there, sometimes it does get a little when you're trying to do something, and the world suddenly goes black around you.
Lastly, Photon and Cedric are an Ampharos and Leafeon, respectively. The both of them had to endure the loss of their precious Trainer, Sophia, and her death hardened the resolve of both of them. Photon has a fighting spirit unfazed by those around him, and he's not the type to let anything happen to his friends without him getting involved. Most Pokemon that try can expect to meet a 1200-watt Thunderbolt to their nervous system pretty quickly. Yikes! Yet, at the same time, Photon is fun-loving and jovial, and he's always trying to teach the rest of the Crusaders the many games that he would play with Sophia (even though he wins pretty much every game, I swear I'll beat him one day). Meanwhile, Cedric is more-or-less your average nature Pokemon. He loves the outdoors, and he always jumps at the chance to go explore any sort of forest (except Vivid Rainforest. I can't get it out of his head that the Serperior there is long gone. Alas...) However, he is much more timid than Photon, and he usually ends up being the first one to get scared when something crazy happens. A few Ghosts always love to take advantage of this weakness, but it's the strength that he shows despite it that makes him such a great guy.
What do I contribute to the team? Well, to be honest, I don't really know my own niche, but I just attempt to be the glue that holds the Crusaders together, although I've paid the price for doing this on many on occasion (and I still have a few of the numerous bite and acid scars I used to have to prove it. Beta's healing horn-jaw works miracles, but not even it can fix those kinds of wound that quickly).
Anyway, now that I've properly introduced myself, ask away! You may be surprised by just what you'll find in a young Riolu like me!
