Chapter 8: Stay With Me

Tommy's POV

My heart stopped. This was my worst nightmare. Losing him. My true love. Without hesitation, I grabbed Adam and darted downstairs. Shit...I can't drive... Leila and Eber were at work and Neil was out with Sauli. There was only one option... I had to call an ambulance. I gently placed Adam on the couch and called 911. "911 what's your emergency?"

"My brother passed out, he's in a really bad state! He's seriously sick!" I sobbed into the phone. "Ok sir please keep calm, what's the address of your emergency?"

"It's um...120 Blackhawk Estate."

"Ok please hang on sir, paramedics are on their way." I ended the call and tucked my phone back in my pocket. I then picked Adam back up in my arms. He was really hot and pale, he luckily still had a pulse. "Adam please stay with me, I need you!" I sobbed. I held his body close and prayed that the ambulance would come soon.

Eventually, the ambulance finally came. I ran outside, shouting at the paramedics with Adam in my arms. "Help him! He's dying!" They rushed up to me and grabbed Adam out of my arms. They put him on a stretcher and wheeled him inside the ambulance. "Can I come with him?" The lady looked at me and frowned. "I'm sorry honey but I'm afraid you can't."

"I need to go with him! I'm his brother!" I fell to the floor and started sobbing even more. She sighed and pointed at the back of the ambulance, "go on then, but you MUST stay sitting down." I wiped my eyes and ran to the ambulance. I knew that trick would work! Adam was lying on the stretcher with an oxygen mask on his face. I sat down next to him and held his hand. "Stay with me BabyBoy, I love you" I whispered in his ear as a paramedic climbed in beside us and we started driving. The sirens were blaring loudly and the heart monitor was beating. I hope my baby will be ok...

Adam's POV

I felt a little bit of my conscious coming back but I still couldn't open my eyes. I could hear sirens and guessed I was in an ambulance. "Stay with me BabyBoy, I love you" I heard someone whispering, it sounded like Tommy. I wanted to open my eyes and hug him and tell him that I'm ok. But I couldn't. I felt myself losing conscious again as I felt myself being lifted out from the ambulance.

Tommy's POV

They lifted Adam out of the ambulance and rushed him into the hospital. I quickly followed behind and stopped at the front desk. "Name of the patient please?"

"Adam Lambert, I'm his brother so can I go in?" She nodded and pointed to the room he was in. I rushed inside and sat in the chair beside Adam's bed. "We have to take him for an X-ray so you can wait here" the doctor told me. I nodded and let go of Adam's hand. I watched them wheel him out the room, I burst into tears again after he left.

A few minutes later...

My thoughts were interrupted by the doctor coming in with a clipboard. I stood up and went over to stand opposite him. "You're Adam's brother?" I nodded, "so what's wrong with him?" He sighed, "Adam has gallstones, we need to operate now to remove them."

"But why did he pass out? That doesn't normally happen during a gallbladder infection, does it?"

"No it doesn't, but he also has a very serious case of gastroenteritis. He passed out because of dehydration, amount of pain and he had a very very high temperature." I took a deep breath and ran my fingers through my fringe. "Ok, good luck in the operation". The doctor nodded and went back out. Alone again...

About half an hour later Leila, Eber and Neil came rushing into the room. Leila hugged me tightly and said, "Oh my god Tommy darling, you must've gotten such a fright!" Eber came up and patted me on the back, "good job Tommy lad, I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't been there." I smiled at them before looking at Neil. The tension between us was unbearable. I didn't say anything though because I knew that now wasn't the time.

An hour later, two nurses wheeled Adam back into the room. He was awake but very groggy. "Adam!" We all screamed and hugged him. "Ow! Careful guys I'm very sore! I also really don't feel well" he giggled. Leila, Eber and Neil went outside to talk to the doctors whilst I stayed in the room with Adam. "Adam you scared the fuck out of me!" I sobbed as he gently pulled me into a hug. "I know I'm sorry Pretty Kitty, I really am." I pulled away and we stared into each other's eyes. Adam slowly leaned in until our lips were only an inch apart. I leaned in and our lips crashed together. This was one of the best but worst moments of my life...

Adam's POV

Me and Tommy broke apart after a few minutes to catch our breath. I smiled at Tommy as he blushed and his fringe fell in front of his face. The doctor, my parents and Neil came back into the room. Neil. I still had to talk to him about how I found Tommy. "So Adam, some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that you have to stay overnight, the good news is that Tommy's allowed to stay with you." Me and Tommy grinned at each other. My parents both came over and hugged me, before leaving for the night. As Neil bent down to hug me, I whispered into his ear, "I'll deal with you when I get home." He gulped and followed my parents outside.

Tommy sat on the chair beside my bed and let out a big yawn. I scrunched my nose up and gagged. "What's that smell?" Tommy pointed to himself. He was covered from head to toe in vomit. "Oops" we burst out laughing. "Don't you wanna go get changed and come back?" He shook his head and sighed. "Nah, I'll wait until tomorrow." I smiled at him and held his hand. He entangled our fingers and leaned his head back. I snuggled down and we both fell asleep straight away, still holding hands.
