I held my breath as I watched my parents change from their human form into their wolf forms.

I shook as I watched them snarl and growl at eachother.

Why now? It's my eighth birthday, we should be having a fun celebration.

I looked through the small holes of the closet to see my father growl loudly before pouncing towards my mother.

His teeth scratched her leg as she ran away.

His voice slammed in my head.

"WHY DID YOU KILL MY MOTHER, BETH?!?!"

I heard my mother whimper in pain but she still snarled at my father again.

"THE QUEEN'S POSITION IS SUPPOSED TO ME MINE, NATHANIEL!!"

I winced from the loud voices that hurt my ears.

My mother jumped into the air and slammed into the hard wall instead of biting my father.

I heard her yelp but she only stood back up, ready for more.

Father's brown eyes glowed gold.

"No Queen would kill for her crown."

I heard mother laugh.

"And no King would kill his Queen's brother."

He growled at mother threatening.

"Should've killed you, too."

I watched as she snarled at him and lunge again.

I flinched when I watched them collide and slam into the hard wall.

He growled loudly and sank his teeth into my mother.

She cried in pain and tried to scramble out of his jaws but it only resulted in more pain.

My whole body shook in horror.

Why is dad killing mom?

My little legs almost lost feeling as I watched the blood of my mother drip and spil onto our floor.

Father's jaws tightened their grip and it wasn't soon before my mother went limb.

I fell back in horror.

He killed mother. Mother's dead because of father.

My eyes widened in fear as his bloody mouth turned to me.

He growled and his red teeth looked at me threateningly.

I panicked and desperately reached for the secret door's handle.

He slowly prowled over to me as I grabbed the handle.

I watched him crouch and right before he pounced at me I opened the small door, turning into my black wolf form as I ran away from the murderer I use to call my father.
