My eyes widened in horror.

This...shouldn't be happening...

I felt the fear creep into my body and I clenched Ben's shirt in my fists.

"W-who is that, Malina?"

His voiced wavered in fear.

I looked back up at him and worry followed the fear.

I forgot, Ben hasn't seen another wolf other than me in years.

I gulped before letting go.

"Go upstairs and stay in your room."

He stated at me for a minute before nodding.

"Don't get killed."

He left before I could think about the possibilities of me dying.

I shook my head before turning towards Petery.

He snarled before scratching the clear door again.

I took a cautious step forward and he growled loudly.

I took another step, about a third of the way.

He bared his teeth and barked.

I winced at the loud noise before taking another step.

"What's wrong, Petery?"

I sent him the thought and I automatically got a response.

"HELP ME, MALINA! THERE'S THIS DARK SPIRIT INSIDE OF ME!!"

I froze.

No...

My father told me that there was a 1% chance that I had a demon inside of my wolf form and there was an even less chance that I would be able to transfer the demon to the person I turned into a werewolf.

He wasn't lying, then, I really had a demon inside of me...

A tear slipped down my cheek.

...and I had given it to Petery without knowing it.

I heard a man's voice suddenly in my head.

"It's been a long time since I've had a body."

My blood went cold.

He's controlling Petery's wolf form.

I glared at the wolf.

"GET OUT OF PETERY!!"

I heard the demon laugh.

"And why should I?"

I growled.

"Because you're not supposed to be alive."

My father also told me that the demon was the first Rowatik to exist and was never supposed to  be born. That's was Rowatiks are: a big mistake.

The green eyed wolf snarled again.

"And you're not supposed to be alive either so I guess that means I can be here as well."

I snarled back at him.

"SHUT UP AND GIVE PETERY BACK!"

He chuckled, taunting me.
