(Quick Author's Note: I'm sorry for the really bad chapter last time, I hope this one will be better.)

In the end, Petery said he'd stay the night after I told him about Ben's note.

I sighed and pulled my knees up to my chest, smothering my face into the loose sweats I was wearing.

Sorry Ben, I know you told me not to tell anyone but I couldn't help but tell Petery.

I sighed again and closed my eyes.

If only I knew where you were, I could've still talked to you through thoughts...

Petery walked into the living room, drying his wet hair with a red towel.

"Hey, what's wrong, Malina?"

I looked up at him and forced a smile.

"Oh, nothing. I'm just a little tired, that's all."

He paused for a second, just looking at me, but nodded before continuing to dry his hair.

He looked around and a confused expression erupted in his eyes.

"How could you two keep this house when you were 8 and 9?"

I giggled.

"Well, Ben got most of the money from saving up while he still lived with his pack."

Petery nodded but still looked a little interested as to how I take place into this whole situation.

I cleared my throat.

"We were able to pay the rent for a few months but then we started to worry since we only had enough for one more month before we were almost completely broke. That's when Ben and I started to go the the streets for help."

I looked down.

"I begged and begged for some spare change but all we got was a few pennies and a piece of gum."

I sighed.

"It was like that for weeks and we started to think about selling the things inside the house so that we could get enough money. Then one day when I was walking down the streets, holding out my small sign, I saw a broken pencil on the ground and a few ripped pieced of paper next to it."

I smiled and little.

"I picked up the scraps and looked around. I saw a small flower and started to draw it. Since my parents use to force me to be a good artist I wasn't half bad and people gave me money to draw them."

I looked back up at him.

"I've been drawing people's faces for money ever since and Ben has a special job that he goes to on weekend."

Petery smile.

"How can someone be so perfect?"

I blushed and stood up.

"I-i need to go to the store real quick so stay-"

Then I remembered what Ben had said in his note.

Take Petery with you just in case, okay?

I sighed.

"Hurry up and change into one of Ben's shirts, that one is too noticeable."

He looked at me weird but ran up the stairs to change.

I looked out the window.

Hopefully petery won't have to see my father again.

I signed again and waited a moment before Petery came down the stairs, pulling a black shirt over his stomach.

I blushed red at the small peak of abs I got while he came down.

I turned around before he could ask what was wrong and grabbed the house key.

"C-come on, w-we have to make this quick."

I ran out the door and left Petery to follow me to the store.

When we were making out way home, bags of food in out hands, I couldn't help but sigh.

Petery chuckled.

"What's so relieving?"

I giggled.

"Just the point that we didn't see anyone from school."

He nudged me.

I looked at him and he slightly moved his head to his left.

I looked past him and saw someone very familiar walking over to us.

I groaned and glared at him.

"Why are you here, Wesly?"

He grinned.

"Could ask you two the same."

I heard Petery start to growl and I held his hand, causing him to stop and only keep a stern look on his face.

I held back my own snarl.

"Just taking a stroll after getting some food."

He grinned.

"So I guess you guys really a couple then...right?"

He had a devilish smirk but his eyes seemed hurt.

I rolled my eyes.

"It doesn't have to do with you much so I won't repeat myself."

He chuckled.

"Guess I missed my chance after all..."

I was about to ask him what he meant but he was already walking past us.

When he was right next to me, he whispered in my ear.

"Won't be like that for long, though."

I looked back while he walked away, a grin plastered on his face but still had the same hurt emotion in his eyes.

I shook my head and looked forward.

"Come on, let's get back home and I'll make us some dinner."

I started walking and Petery followed me, looking back at couple of times as if he felt someone watching us.

I sighed.

I wonder what Wesly is planning this time...

I glanced at Petery as he looked back for the fourth time.

...and why Petery has been so strange lately...

I felt my stomach drop a little.

My eyes widened and I froze.

A woman with brown, wavy hair and bright blue eyes looked at me with and smile, her body glowing but transparent.

"M-mother?"

(Quick Author's Note: since my schedule has been everywhere, I've decided to just update when I can because I have times where I've completed a chapter before and have to wait and...well, some like this where it takes about two weeks to have enough time round update)
