"Hey, you've been quiet," Ant said as he added the finishing touches to his part of their school project. "That'd better mean you're busy with your share of the project."
"Uhuh," David snickered.
"Okay, that worries me." The fourteen year old got up from his study table and approached David, who was working on the floor.
David was sat up against Ant's bed, back turned toward Ant. He was busy tinkering with something in his hands. That something turned out to be Ant's phone.
"How did you even get my phone?!" Ant tried yanking it away from David's hand, but the taller boy stood up to keep it out of reach. "It was in my back pocket."
David laughed. "Magic hands!" He says as he waves his hands.
Ant rolls his eyes and continues to reach for his phone. As he did this, he lost balance and fell on top of David. Ant's bed cushioned their fall.
"Ooh, Ant! If you wanted to get me in bed, all you had to do was ask. You know I'd be willing to join you," David says in a very camp voice.
Ant gets off David and grabs his phone. "What were you doing on my phone?"
"Nothing." The wide grin told Ant otherwise.
"What were you doing on my phone?" Ant repeated.
"I changed the names on your phone contacts to mythical creatures," David laughed at his own shenanigans.
"David!" Just like he said, Ant saw that David changed every name on his contacts list.
"What? It's not like it's gonna take you forever to find out who's who. You've only got around fifty contacts on your phone," David chuckled as he sat up.
"Yeah, but it's still gonna take some of my time I could be using to relax."
"Pssh, you're overreacting."
Ant rolled his eyes again. "Please tell me you at least finished your part of the project."
"Yeah, I did. I finished before you," David smirked. "That's why I got bored and messed with your phone."
The taller teen then got up from bed and grabbed his backpack.
"Hey, where are you going?" Ant asks when he notices.
"Home. Like I said, I'm done with my part of the project," David adds. "So I'll let you have fun fixing your contacts list."
"Ugh, I hate you so much," Ant muttered as he started texting each person on his contacts list.
David ignores what Ant says and instead shouts back, "I love you, too!" as he walked out of Ant's room.
With David gone, Ant sent an identical message to everyone in his contacts.
Not surprisingly, David was the first one to respond. He had changed his name to "Centaur" on his phone.
Another text came in after that.
