Kemo singing
Oh and this is what our new character looks like
...
I hop out of my truck and knock on the door. Lanes. Kemo Lanes. I want to know his middle name now.
The door opens showing the lady with red hair, crap I forgot her name. Marry?
"Hi!" She says happily. I smile and say hi back. "I'll go get Kemo," she says leaving me at the door. She comes back and ushers me in. She goes where ever, I'd get lost in this house if I tried even looking for Kemo.
I walk over to pictures, Brenden and Marry at an event with two boys laughing. One is Kemo and the other is someone I don't know. Wish I did, he's so hot. He has tattoos everywhere on his skin following up his neck and arms.
Someone clears their throats behind me pulling me from my thoughts. I turn around to see Kemo with eyebrows raised. My face immediately heats up and I know I'm looking like a tomato.
"Sorry," I get out glancing around at the picture again. "Who is that?" I ask. His eyes look at the picture, his lips curling up into a smile.
"Tobias," he says.
"Hot guy, hot name." I say under my breath glancing back at him again.
"I heard that," he says. My cheeks heat up more than it was just a moment ago. We walk out and get into the truck.
I pull down his drive, thoughts keep going back to that guy. "He's so hot!" I yell out of nowhere hitting my hands on the steering wheel. Kemo just shakes his head and focuses his sight outside. "Can I meet him?" I ask. He raises a brow at me. "Any straight girl in the right mind would want to meet him!" I screech. He laughs and shakes his head.
"He's my roommate," he says talking about his apartment. "I don't know if he'd want to meet you, he kind of hates everyone. Well, depends on if you can get him to stand you. But we've know each other for a very long time." He says.
"So, is that a yes?" I ask excited. He rolls his eyes and pulls out his phone texting. "Is he single?" I ask, Kemo doesn't answer. He clicks his phone off and shoves it into his pocket.
"Shouldn't you be going about Amos or something?" He asks with an edge to his voice.
"And you said my mood swings were bad." I grumble pulling to a stop light. I glance over to Kemo who's arms are crossed with a blank face. I tap his stomach that happens to be hard. I touch it again poking at his muscles earning a laugh from Kemo. "Geez, I should've had you take your shirt off last night when I had the choice." I hoot making him smile. Mission Making Kemo just was completed in less than two minuets. "Wonder what Tobias has got," I say under my breath so quiet that I almost didn't even hear it.
"Shut up!" He says firmly. How'd he even hear me? He turns up the radio he starts singing perfectly, his voice hitting every note on the right beat. He is not bad at anything. I have no idea how he's bad at English.
I watch him while watching the road at the same time. "Use the sleeves of my sweater, lets have adventure." He sings perfectly. Would have been if he had a sweater last night.
"And I may just take your breath away!" He sings. Kemo, who's breath have not taken away. He could turn a straight guy gay.
"She knows what I think about
And what I think about. One love, two mouths. One love, one house. No shirt, no blouse. Just us, you find out. Nothing that wouldn't wanna tell you about no" he sings loudly drumming his hands all over the car.I pull up to Starbucks, Kemo doesn't complain this time. He smiles at me when we walk in. Least he's not in a grumpy mood.
We order our drinks and take a seat by the window. "He wants to see what you look like before you come over tonight." Kemo says pulling out his phone. I pose and let him take a picture. He sends it and then shoves his phone in his leather jacket pocket.
I look out the window as see a poster thing with a suicide number on it saying "if you need help call us immediately, we want to help." Kemo follows my gaze. I frown at it.
"Why would someone want to take their life?" I ask quietly.
"Sometimes people have pain put on them that they are not strong enough to withstand and taking their own life sounds appealing because it's easy. Maybe they feel that if they were dead they wouldn't feel the pain, That it would all go away. Not everyone knows what to do when they are in these situations and not everyone knows what to do. There are people who kill themselves every day and people don't know why because they never said anything. Too scared to be judged, too scared that saying something would make it worse." He says quietly averting his eyes back to me. They are sad, I reach across and take his hand.
"Do you know someone?" I ask. He nods his head slightly. I reach across the table and pull him into a hug. I cradle his face and kiss his cheek. "I'm sorry,"
"It's not your fault," he says back giving me a small smile. His phone goes off in his jacket, he pulls it out and reads the text. He rolls his eyes and looks up to me with a smile. "He approves," I let out a laugh.
"Good, I approved him when I first saw him." I say bitting my lip.
"I really wish you'd stop," he grumbles getting up and grabbing our drinks while I laugh. He sits back down and glances at the time. "We should get on the road, I'm gonna use the bathroom. Will you please grab my drink?" I nod my head carrying them in hand.
I grab napkins while Kemo goes into the bathroom. A few people cast me smiles that I return. I walk outside. I walk out into the road when my name is called. A girl called my name. I look toward the owner of the voice. I hear a horn, I quickly look back and see a car so close to me.
My body flies through the air, I wait for impact from the car, but nothing touched me other than strong arms that are wrapped around me.
Kemo glares at the car, they apologize. I look around for the girl who called my name, but she's nowhere to be seen. I didn't even see her when she called my name.
"What the heck?!" Kemo turns to me with a frown.
"Someone called my name, some girl did." I say. He tenses next to me and hurries me to the truck.
