The ball should be in full swing by now. I was dressed in a black suit with shiny black shoes. I slicked back my hair with gell and checked myself out in the mirror. 'Huh, I'm sexy as hell. Watch out ladies.' I rolled my eyes at my corniness. I picked up my final piece, my favorite gun. The gun was placed in the small of my back. I sighed softly and headed out the door.
The woman at the front desk stopped and handed me a earpiece. "It should be set up for you already." I thanked her then left the building. My car started with a purr and I sped out the parking lot.
The music at the ball was boring. They needed to play some pop, or rap, or freaking dubstep. Anything except classical music. Everyone looked stuck up and rich. Different colored suits and women with both bright and dark colored dresses that looked like they costed thousands. I spotted Mr. Turner and walked up to him. "Good evening, Mr. Turner." He barely acknowledged me, his focus on the stage. I looked around for anything suspicious. There were guards in corners and by the door. A server passed in front with drinks and I snatched a glass off the plate.
Acting natural, I sipped on my drink and watched the crowd. Suddenly, Mr. Turner made a beeline towards the bathrooms. Instead of following him in a haste, I slowly walked and sipped my drink all the way to the bathrooms. I slammed the glass down on a nearby table.
When I reached inside the bathrooms, Turner was leaning over the sink and washing his face. I walked up him slowly. He looked up and wiped his eyes. "What are you doing in the men's room?" Eyebrows furrowed, he took in my appearance and I saw realisation in his eyes. "You're going to kill me." I smirked sinfully and pulled out my gun, aiming at him. But before I could pull the trigger, the door flew open and four hands grabbed me. They tackled me to the ground and I elbowed one of assaulters in his face. He howled in pain but their grip tightened.
My struggling was tiring them out. Their grip loosened but right after, I felt pain in my head and darkness followed.

My eyes opened to a van ceiling. My head was spinning and I groaned trying to rub my head. It was then I realized my hands were tied together. I struggled to take off the ropes but the knot was complicated and I started to grow tired so I stopped and took deep breaths.
The car jolted to a stop. I heard doors closing and footsteps coming close to the back of the van. Both doors swung open and revealed two huge men wearing black. One of them grabbed me and I yelled, "Hey! Let me go!" I began to struggle and scream, hoping someone would hear, but I knew it was useless. One of the men pulled out a cloth and wrapped it around my mouth tightly. They picked me up and I could see a large abandoned warehouse.
We reached inside and they tied me with my hands above my body, hanging from the ceiling. I wheezed, the breath leaving my body. The last thing I heard was the door slam shut then, I was engulfed in silence.
I hung there for what seems forever. I could hardly breathe, my breath was coming out in short pants. The door opened and footsteps walked towards me. I was cut down and I dropped to the floor, gasping. I took in as much air as I can get.
A hand was offered, holding water and a large piece of bread. I looked up at the person and glared. He chuckled and I felt my ropes being undone. When I was free, my arms dropped to the floor. The cloth that was around my mouth was untied. The man held out the food and I took it hungrily. While I ate, he watched me intently.
"Who are you?" I asked I was done. He leans down and holds my chin in a tight grip. "You, can call me Eli." His malicious grin instilled something in me—fear. He stood down and I felt the ropes being tied on my hands and legs. He fixed his suit and stared down at me. His eyes expressed disgust. "You work for me now. I'll make something out of you." He turned and walked away. I was lifted up and seated on a chair. They tied me to the chair and left the room. The slam of the doors echoed throughout the warehouse and I was trapped in silence again.

The doors opened and sunshine peeked into the warehouse. The mysterious man, Eli, strolled towards me with guards surrounding surrounding him. I was untied from the chair and hoisted on to someones shoulder. They took me to a car and pushed me in the backseat. Eli followed shortly after. His nose turned up at the smell coming from me. His eyes were cruel and judging and I could see the distaste he had for me.
"Ms. Penton, do you know why you're here?" I gulped as I thought over the last mission.
"I was hired to kill someone and I failed." He grinned.
"Yes but, why are you here with me?" I shrugged.
"Well, I bought you. For 9 million dollars." I sat up in shock.
"You're saying you couldn't couldn't raise it to ten million? I was only good enough for 90%?" He seemed shocked by my words but recovered.
"You will become a true hitman, under me of course. You will train with some of the most dangerous hitman and assassins." I thought about it.
"So, I can't say no?"
"Of course you can't. You start training tomorrow. You are in desperate need of a shower." I smelled myself and cringed. 'Damn'. I smelled like a monkey's ass.
"When we get to the compound, please shower and come to my office for a tour of the compound." I nodded slowly and leaned back in the seat.
We pulled to a building. It looked gloomy and dark. Kind of like school. I was carried all the way to a room door and dropped. I enter the bedroom and gasp at how dark it is. It is perfect. I quickly walk into the bathroom and take a much needed shower.
Eli's office was arm's reach. I just had to knock. The door opened suddenly and Eli's head popped out.
"Come in, Ms. Penton." I gulped and slowly walked into his office.
