Chapter 26 ✨

I froze when I saw the snake and she-male make direct eye contact with me.

Oh kami, Why me?

I nearly scream out in annoyance when I realized that Isao left me again to fend for myself.

No wood release no wood release. I just gotta remember that, it shouldn't be so hard.

Yet, Before I had time to even blink, the snake came racing towards me.

I've never faced anyone like this before, I've never gone out in a mission against real enemies like my peers have, so much to my displeasure, I find myself freezing up!

I, still in a state of shock, froze and closed my eyes in fear expecting the worst. But the pain never came.

I opened my eyes and dropped my kunai in surprise. Naruto stood right in front of me, holding back the huge snake with his body and kunai.
He was panting heavily with his head down.

"You... you'll never hurt her on my watch." He panted looking up at me.

I stood there silently as I looked into his red eyes and canine teeth. What the hell?! What's up with Naruto? Has he always been this strong? What is going on?

He saved me!

"Haru. . . She's important to me, don't even try to get near her." He warned causing me to gape at him in surprise. He said don't even try to what?

Where's the Naruto who's a total goofball with pretty blue eyes and a really big smile?

Suddenly the she-male's tongue wrapped around Naruto and pulled him upwards to face the she-male.

Once again, nasty!

Without touching him, she managed to pull up his sweater revealing black markings on his stomach and I narrowed my eyes at them. Is that the seal of his beast? I mean I know he's has the beast demon thing inside of him, I can only assume what we just saw was a part of it.

I was caught off guard when she aggressively placed her palm on his marks "Five pronged seal!" Naruto yelled out in pain and his red eyes calmed into its natural blue color.

"Sasuke hurry do something!" Sakura yelled and I slapped my arm to get rid of shock. What the hell do I do?!

They threw Naruto to the side and I clenched my teeth, no way he'll survive that fall!

I raced towards him and grabbed his waist successfully breaking his fall. I picked him up and sat on a branch looking down at him in worry. This idiot why'd he have to save me!?

I pat his cheek gently and watched Sakura and Sasuke from afar. "Sasuke what's wrong with you?" Sakura yelled. I shook my head, he's obviously in shock like me. I can't believe I froze up like that!

Sakura started telling him off, saying that at least Naruto wasn't a coward like him. I would've agreed, but I only watched on sadly. I assumed what Sasuke was thinking about, he was thinking about that day.

Sasuke opened his eyes revealing his sharingan. Well, this is about to get interesting.

The villains snake disappeared in a huge gust of wind making me hold onto Naruto even tighter. I looked down at him in worry, he isn't waking up!
