*May*
The first thing I thought was The Fates. They just had to be the people that were telling me all this. "I would like to live." I tell them. "Very well."They say. When I woke up the light shone in my eyes blinding me for a few seconds. When I finally looked up I saw I wasn't in camp half blood or even at a place I recognized.  I saw a 12 year old girl with a bow and arrow strapped to her back. There were about 10 other teenagers from about 10 to 16 years old. "Daughter." The 12 year old girl hovering over me said. "What?" I asked really confused. All of a sudden morphed into a 26 year old looking woman.

I furrowed my brow confused more than ever. "What is going on?" I asked, looking around at everyone once more. The person who was hovering over me stuck out her hand to help me up. I happily obliged and stood up. "May you are my daughter, I'm Artemis." She said as if it was obvious. I shivered because even thought it was still summer, the night had a cold wind blowing. "C'mon, you need to warm up." a girl with black hair and electric blue eyes told me. She led me to their camp and set me down next to the fire. She sat down next to me on the log and put her hands up to the fire.

She looked really familiar, but I just couldn't place a finger on it. Had I seen her around camp? I racked my brain for a second then came up with a story Percy had told me. He told me about all his adventures, he explained what all of them looked like and everything. I got an image of her then tried to get her name. "Thalia." I murmured. "What?" she asked confused. "Is your name, by any chance, Thalia?" I asked her. "How did you know?" she asked. "Percy told me." I told her bluntly. I stuck out my hand and said "I'm May, it's nice to meet you." She gingerly shook back. "Wait, as in May Reed?"  "Last time I checked." I said jokingly. "Percy told me a lot about you." "He told me about how you guys were friends in 5th grade and he told me about the one time he was in the TARDIS with the doctor." My heart skipped a beat, where was the doctor.

I looked down at the bracelet Percy had made for me. For the first time I noticed a ring, that I had never seen before, resting on my pointer finger. It had a light blue gem on the the front, my favorite color. All of a sudden words rang clear in my head. "Its her birthday, it was supposed to be a birthday present." It was my birthday, and I wasn't even with the doctor or Percy. I knew just by those words that this was a birthday present from someone. I felt a tear run down my face and Thalia asked me what was wrong. "Thalia, get away from her." I heard someone say behind us. "I was just trying to help." I heard her murmur while getting up.

The next thing I knew my feeling exploded and instead of being sad I was angry. I picked myself up off the log and ran into the woods. I found a tree that was relatively close to the camp, but far enough away no noise could bother me. I quickly climbed and lay down on the lowest branch, which had to be at lease 10 feet high. I picked off a leaf and quickly figured out that it was a Maple tree. I remembered one time when the doctor and I traveled to my old school. Uh oh, I hated these flashbacks, and they always happened when I didn't' want them too.

*flashback*

We had just finished defeating a bunch of Daleks, and we didn't have anything else to do so we decided to visit my old school. It wasn't open anymore and it had gotten turned into a park, so we had to go to a few years earlier to be able to see the actual school building. The thing I hadn't noticed was that we had gone back to the day Percy had kissed me, the last day of school. When I walked out the first thing I thought about was the Maple tree that Percy and I always sat in at recess. When I walked over I saw that the young me and young Percy were sitting up there making the bracelets Percy and I had given each other. I was leaning against the trunk of the tree, and Percy was straddling the tree branch opposite of me. I watched as I tried to show Percy how to braid the threads, and he wasn't doing too good. I laughed and drew attention from the two of them.

The doctor and I had to jump behind the trunk of another tree so they wouldn't see us. All of a sudden I had the memory of seeing the older me looking down at me in 5th grade. It was really weird but I shook it off. I looked back just in time to see Percy lean over and kiss me on the cheek. I had blushed like crazy at that moment but had kept my eyes on the bracelet. After we were finally done and had made the bracelets we traded them and swore never to take them off. I looked down at my bracelet on my wrist and back up to myself that was starting to climb down the tree. The doctor and I started to walk back to the TARDIS and I suddenly remembered my 5th grade self running up to me. I looked over and that was happening right at the moment.

Percy had been staring, waiting for younger me to come back. She said "Hi older me, its nice to know your doing good." Younger me hugged me then ran back to Percy. And with that they walked back inside talking, like nothing had happened.

*end of flashback*

I came back to the real time when a sharp pain ran up my back. I opened my eyes to see I was on the ground and not in the tree anymore. I had a massive headache starting to form. Probably from you falling from a tree May. I thought to myself. I looked up and saw Thalia hovering over me nervously. "What happened? I watched you fall from the tree." I looked back up at the branch I had been sitting in and knew something was wrong. It was more like 20 feet than 10 feet. I tried to sit up, but the pain in my back made me feel like I was being set on fire.

"AHH!" I yelled when I tried to get up again. Thalia gave me a worried look and ran off, I'm guessing to get help. When she came back she had my mother and 4 other people with her. Thalia had a bag with what looked like honey combs and said "Here eat this." As she handed me one. I took it out of her hand and ate it. Immediately my back felt better. They still decided to carry me back to camp, even thought I told them I was fine. They set me down in a tent, and Artemis shooed everyone off but Thalia.

"What happened back there that made you fall out of the tree?" Thalia asked worry filling her question. I tried my best to explain the flashback, but it was pretty hard without going back into the same flashback. We talked for a little while when my mother finally asked "Do you want to be a Hunter, May?"

Hey guys, I got a question. Are you guys enjoying the flashbacks? Are they interesting? Or should I stop doing them? I know at the start I said I would tell you more about May's life, so I was doing that through flashbacks. I could also make another book about May's life in 5th grade if you are really that interested. I would love to start hearing from you guys!

Also, Sorry for another cliffhanger! IT WAS GETTING TOO LONG I SWEAR! and I kinda like leaving you guys on cliffhangers. HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
