The last chapter

*May*

I fell into the darkness, still aware of the danger going on around me. I heard him yell "NO,MAY!" Wait, what was his name? I remembered that we had been friends since 7th? No 4th grade? Oh no, I was forgetting my friends. The only thing I remembered about him was the promise we had made that we would make sure that the other one didn't die alone.

I felt someone holding my face, wet splatters hitting my cheek, letting me know they were crying. "Why, why couldn't we have gotten here sooner?" I hear him say. I wish I could comfort who ever it was, but there was no way to do anything, my muscles just wouldn't work.

"C'mon, she's still breathing, we need to get her back to camp." I hear another voice say farther away. I feel two arms go under me and I know I'm being picked up. "I'm sorry May, I'm so sorry." I heard the person whisper. I felt myself slipping further and further into unconsciousness and I let the darkness overtake me once again.

*Percy*
I heard a scream from the woods yelling my name. I instantly knew it was May. I ran towards the woods, trying to figure out where she was. After trying to find where she was, I finally spotted her. I came into the clearing just in time to see a giant, and May standing there with no weapon.

Before I knew what was happening, the giant swatted May off to the side. "NO MAY!" I yelled. I didn't know that they had been behind me, until Leo and Connor ran out to fight the giant. I ran to May's side, holding her face in my hands as I cried. "Why, why couldn't we get here sooner?" I ask myself.

"C'mon, she's still breathing, we need to get her back to camp." Connor tells me while walking the way we came. i picked May up and whispered "I'm sorry May, I'm so sorry." I didn't expect for her to even hear a word I said, but I could still express my feelings.

*4 DAYS LATER*

*May*

I woke up feeling dizzy. My right hand felt warm, like someone was holding it. I slowly opened my eyes, letting them adjust to the light. My vision was a little hazy, so I blinked a couple times to get my vision back to normal. I looked around and saw I wasn't alone.

I was in the camp infirmary, surrounded by all my friends. There was Connor, Leo, Annabeth, and another person sitting next to me who was holding my hand. I pulled my hand away from his grasp and stared at him, wondering why he was holding my hand. He looked at me, for a second in bewilderment for why I pulled my hand away, but then he smiled at me.

"May, your awake!" He said. "How do you know my name?" I asked him. His smile dropped. I stared into his sea green eyes, getting no hint as to how he knew my name. Before he could answer Chiron walked over. "My dear, it looks as if you have had a concussion. Sadly, Ambrosia and Nectar will not help with concussions, we will just have to wait and see what you remember and forget."

Connor whispered something in Chiron's ear. "Oh, well, that is very unfortunate." He said. The person sitting next to me got up from his chair, making it squeak against the hardwood. Before he walked out I called "Hey, what's your name." He looked at me, with a hurt expression on his face. He didn't answer, but instead walked outside.

"What's his problem?" I asked. Connor, Leo and Annabeth exchanged glances. "Chiron, can I leave?" I asked. "Yes, but you are not to do any training today. After all, you just woke up." I nodded and slowly got up. I wouldv'e fallen over if Connor hadn't take hold of my arm. "Thanks." I said and smiled at him. "Oh, look at the time, Leo, we better get going to our next activity." Annabeth said. "What? My next activity isn't until---" Leo was cut off by Annabeth elbowing him in the arm and giving him a death glare.

"Oh yea, right, next activity, gotcha." Leo said following Annabeth out the door. "Well, that was...weird." I said. Connor nodded. "C'mon, you need to get to your cabin." Connor said and helped me walk to my cabin. If I said I wasn't surprised to see Kayla sitting in my bed,I would be lying. "I thought you said you weren't a half-blood?" I said more like a question. "I'm not, i'm a hunter." She said matter of factly. "Then why didn't I see you when I woke up with the hunters? I asked.

"I was with a small group, hunting." She told me. I nodded my head. "I gotta go." She said and hopped down. She walked past Connor and I and went to the sparring field. I walked over to my bed and climbed up, sitting next to Hunter. Connor hopped up next to me. "Hey, Can I ask you a question?" Connor asked. "Sure, what is it?" I asked. "Did you mean what you said, in the letter, about you liking me?" He asked.

Instead of answering, I kissed him. When he didn't kiss back, I felt stupid. What if he didn't like me like that? I started to pull away, just to have Connor wrap his hands around my waist. To say it was magical, is an understatement. I felt like my insides were tingling, I felt like my heart was gonna burst with love. I never wanted to loose this moment, ever. But sadly, it had to come to an abrupt end when there was a knock on the door.

 I pulled away. Connor smiled and said "I'm gonna take that as a Yes?" I laughed and walked to the door. "What, did you expect me to lie?" I asked while walking backwards towards the door, still looking at him. He shrugged and I laughed, turning around to answer the door. The kid that had stormed off in the infirmary was standing there. "Chiron wants to see us. I'm guessing Connor is here, he wants to see him too."

Connor hopped down from my bed and walked over. "What does he want?" Connor asked. "I don't know, but it's something important." He said. "Hold on, before I go anywhere with you, I want to know your name." I said. "Percy, Percy Jackson. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand with a smile on his face. I felt like I knew him. I shook his hand and asked "Have we met before?"

Connor and Percy exchanged looks,as if having a private conversation. He didn't answer, but instead said "Chiron is gonna be waiting, c'mon." And with that, we all set out for the big house.

Ok, my first finished book on wattpad! I'm excited! Ok, there will be a second book called 'May's Memories'. Also, if you want me to, I'm willing to make a book of how Percy and May met, and some of their stories from 5th grade. I might do that anyways, just so their past isn't so hazy to you. Anyways!
