MARIA POV

Unknown caller: Hello I'm here to inform you that Matthew Espinosa is currently on his way to the hospital. He just got into an accident in Highway 17. It seems to me you are a family or close friend that he wanted to call. This is Sentara Hospital.

Maria: Did you guys get the call?

Carter and Ella: No... I got a call from Bea.

Ella: You too? Wait did she leave a voice mail?

Carter: No.. did she for u?

Ella: no..

Maria: Shut up! let's go! Matt is in the hospital!!

ELLA POV

My jaw dropped. We rushed into the car and I sat there feeling stupid. This is all my fault. Every single thing that happened is my fault.

Ella: I'm sorry..

Maria looked at me full of hatred. I lost everything I had...

We finally arrived at the hospital. I followed Maria as she asked one of the nurse where Matt is staying. She ran up quickly into the elevator pushing away everyone who could possibly be in front of her. Carter walked slowly and watch her leave.

Ella: Are you okay?

Carter: I'm not....

Ella: Well same...and I'll be here for you

Carter: Thanks for always being there for me.. from when Matt kissed Maria...Me being in the hospital..Maria in the hospital...the whole Matt.. thanks for supporting me and Maria..

Ella: No problem

I gave him a hug just to make him feel a little better. It was longer than I expected. I pushed back and saw tears on Carter. I wiped it off and..and...Carter leaned in and kissed me.

Ella: Mm.. let's go! Maria is probably waiting for us...

Carter: I'm so sorry.. I'll just catch up...

CARTER POV

What the fuck Carter! You're engaged to Maria!!! Damn! I have a kid!! Come on Carter! You know better!! I walked into the restroom and locked myself in there. I made sure nobody was in here. Looking at myself in the mirror I punched it. I started yelling as loud as possible. Pausing myself I thought...

Maybe all these clues is leading me to Ella...She was there for me... Matt and Maria had been best friends...maybe I'll just let her go... At least she's gonna be happy right?

I washed my hand with the blood gushing out. Wiping it off it bled. I got out of the men's room checking if no once had saw me come out. Getting into the elevator I fixed myself...and walked into the room.

MARIA POV

I ran up to Carter and hugged him. Not worrying where he has been but seeing Matt on a coma is worst. His hug felt different.. he pushed me away and didn't ask if I was okay at all.... I saw Ella looking at me tears building up. She's probably sorry about the whole thing. I came up her and said it was okay and don't cry. I embraced her as I tight as I could. Looking at my side I looked at Carter...not looking at me but looking at Ella.... I let go as soon as possible and excused myself.
