Checking himself in the rear view mirror, Lindsey messes with his hair a little, before opening the door of his car. He takes a deep breath getting out and unsure steps towards the house. What made Stevie change her mind, why she asked him to come see her... he doesn't know, but he doesn't really care either.
Before Lindsey can ring the bell, the door opens and there's Stevie, leaning against the doorway, a hand on her hip, the gorgeous red silk nightdress she's wearing leaves little to imagination. Lindsey's eyes follow the shape of her breasts and he finds it hard, fighting against attaching his mouth to them. He swallows, when he sees her bronzed thigh thanks to the split up her right leg. Her long blond hair is softly curled at the ends, she's only applied mascara and bright red lipstick.
"I see you've decided to skip dinner." Lindsey finds his voice at last, one arm sneaking around her back, the other coming up to her face.
"Mm... I thought we might go straight to desert." Stevie flirts back, smirking. "It's hot, it's juicy and it's your favorite."
"Fuck, Steph..." Lindsey groans, pressing his forehead against hers for a moment, before capturing her lips for a hungry kiss.
"Come on." She takes him by the hand. "We don't want to be standing out here all night."
"I brought a bottle, like you asked."
"Lovely. Open it, please. I'll go take the glasses."
Left alone in the living room, Lindsey's eyes go straight to the family pictures. He wishes to look away, but... Stevie and Jeff, Stevie and their kids, Stevie and Jeff with their kids. Shaking his head, Lindsey turns away, focusing on opening the bottle.
Stevie joins him shortly, holding out two flutes. "You look stunning." Lindsey compliments, pouring the drink. "I wasn't expecting to spend the night with you."
"I missed you." Stevie admits, which takes Lindsey aback. "Why do you seem surprised?"
"I- I'm not. It's nice to hear you say that."
Smiling a little, Stevie goes to take a seat, patting the spot beside her. "Join me." Once Lindsey sits down, she leans into him, sipping her champagne, his arm going around her. Lindsey's lips press to her cheek and she smiles, looking up at him.
"You're so beautiful." He says, kissing her again. "As soon as I see you, I want to get my hands on you."
"Well, who's stopping you?" Stevie challenges, raising an eyebrow.
"This moment between us."
Frowning slightly, Stevie sits up straight. "What do you mean?"
"It's always just sex. I know it's all that it's supposed to be, but..." Sighing, Lindsey sips the champagne. "I like you, I'm sure you know that already though. And I can't like you." He adds, looking away.
Lindsey then feels Stevie's small hand on his thigh and he faces her again. "We're not forbidden to talk, you know. Just... It's easier for me this way."
Now Lindsey's the one confused. "Easier?"
Stevie shrugs and nods her head, bringing the glass up to her lips. He wants to ask, he wants her to open up, but something tells him she's not ready to do so.
Wanting to change the subject, Stevie brings up the conversation she had with Max earlier. "My son decided he wants to learn to play guitar."
Lindsey perks up, hearing that. "Oh yeah, any chance he needs a teacher? A very good one at that may I add?"
Chuckling, Stevie pretends to think for a moment. "Well, are you up for the job then?"
Anything to spend more time around you, Lindsey thinks, however, he doesn't say it. "Of course. I want your son to be in good hands."
Getting more serious again, Stevie bites her lip, before saying. "We have never met. A friend recommended you."
Nodding, Lindsey sighs, finishing his drink. "Got it."

Opening the trunk of his car, Jeff lifts out his bag, eyeing the suitcase which Stevie has packed for him. Shutting it close, he locks his car and enters the apartment building in front of him. Making his way to the elevators, he waits for a moment, before stepping into one. The elevator stops at the fifth floor and he gets out, taking a left turn. Jeff fishes for his keys, then unlocks the door and is instantly met by a brightly smiling young girl.
"Daddy!"
"Hey there, princess." Jeff smiles back and sweeps her off her feet. "I've missed you, sweetie."
"I've missed you too, Daddy!" Aimee hugs her father tighter before letting him go.
"Hello." Comes a voice from behind Jeff and he grits his teeth.
"Hello." He replies without much emotion. "How you've been, Sandra?"
"We've been doing well, haven't we?" Sandra motions for Aimee to join her at her side. "We've just missed Daddy." A wide grin on her face, Sandra looks up at Jeff.
"Right..." Jeff murmurs under her breath. "I should probably unpack."
"Oh, of course." Sandra nods. "Let me accompany you to the room."
"I hope it's a separate room."
"Well, you insist, don't you. You're here to spend time with your daughter, that's all." Sandra rolls her eyes, repeating what Jeff keeps telling her every time he comes.
"That's exactly the reason I'm here." Jeff confirms once more, as he follows the woman in front of him.
