Chapter Four

***Blue's POV***

Luke woke up and stood up. I woke up after him. I stood up too. We walked downstairs to the kitchen and didn't say a word to each other.

"So are you two like a thing now or something?" Calum asks.

"No, why?" Luke says.

"Just making sure. Aby is here." He tells Luke.

"Why?" He asks.

"She saw a picture of you two on your little walk yesterday. Apparently, a fan took a picture or something."

Luke walked into the living room and Calum and I followed him.

"I think we need to talk." Aby says walking over to him. She looked at Luke them me and then Luke again.

"Calum, Michael, Ashton can you leave for a minute, please?" Luke asks. They all walk in the kitchen.

"What is this I heard about you kissing her?" Aby asks Luke.

I didn't want to stay and watch them have a fight and break up. But I also didn't want to loose a friend.

"He didn't kiss me. I kissed him. Whoever took the picture apparently got their facts wrong." I say quickly. Luke looks at me shocked.

I walked into the kitchen to leave them alone.

"Blue?" Michael asks.

"Yeah?"

"Did you just lie to Aby?"

"Yeah, I just didn't want to see them split." I answer.

***Michael Clifford's POV***

Good going, Michael.

I meant to ask her out on a date but I sorta got nervous. I'm afraid she'll say no.

"Can I ask you something else?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Why aren't your family looking for you or worried?"

"I- uh I ran away when I was 16 and I haven't talked to them since." She says. "I guess they like it better without me."

I want to know more about Blue. I think we all do. She doesn't talk about herself much.

***Luke Hemming's POV***

Aby just left. She is a little mad at Blue since she thinks that she kissed me. I am still surprised that she told Aby that. Blue would rather lie and take the blame instead of Aby and I breaking up.

I walked into the kitchen and looked at the calendar. I forgot that my mom was coming over tonight for dinner. I invited Aby over to dinner and I can't tell her that she can't come for dinner. Aby, Blue, and my mom will all be together. I wonder if my mom saw the picture of Blue and I. Oh, I hope not or then this whole thing would be awkward.

"My mom will be here at seven." I say to Ash. "Why?" He asks. He must've forgot too. "For dinner. Aby will be there also." I said. Aston chuckled, "Well this should be interesting."

I walked out of the room. Blue looked up at me. "Thanks for earlier but you didn't have to do that." I said.

"Yes, I did. If I didn't say it you two would probably be broken up by now."

"Well, I was wondering if we could be friends again?" I asked awkwardly.

"Yeah," She says. "Now that we have solved our little problem I guess we can be friends."

"Hey Lukey, your mom is here." Calum chirped.

I gave him a look that meant 'We discussed this Cal, don't call me Lukey.'

I walked downstairs and put my phone in my pocket. My mom was smiling and gave me a hug. She said 'Hello' to all of the boys. Then Blue walked in the room. It was a little awkward. Nobody seemed to notice that she was their at first. She stood behind Ashton.

"Oh, who is this?" My mom asked looking at Blue.

"This is Blue." I tell her.

"Hi," She smiles. "Are you one of the boys girlfriends?"

"No." She answers.

"Oh, I just thought that- oh well it isn't important anyway."

A few minutes later Aby arrives. My mom and I finish up with dinner as the others do whatever.

"So, Blue seems nice." She says.

"Yeah. She is."

"But what is she doing with you guys?"

"She's a friend. Michael met her and she doesn't have a place to stay so we let her stay here for a few days. Now we are pretty good friends." I answer.

"Does Michael like her?" She asks.

"I don't really know. I've never heard him admit it really. But I think he does."

"What about you Lucas?" She looks at me. "Do you like her?"

"I have a girlfriend." I exclaim.

"You hesitated." She laughs.

"No-no I didn't." I say but that doesn't help any. She thinks I like Blue.

When we finished, we all sat at the table and ate. It was quiet. We didn't talk a lot actually.

"How on earth did you get that bruise on your face? I just notice it." My mom asked as Ash and I all help with the dishes.

"I- fell on my face." I lie.

"I know you're lying so why don't you just tell me the truth." My mom says.

"I accidentally kicked him in the face when we had movie night last week and Luke was laying on the floor for some odd reason and I was walking and it was really dark. In fact all the lights were off and I went to walk and his face was in my way and I just sorta kicked him." Ash lies.

"Well, uh what a lovely story boys. I better get going home." She said smiling.

She hugs us again and says goodbye before walking out of the door.
