it was the night of the mikaelson ball. you dressed in your respective outfit. you looked amazing. the way your h/c hair was done , and how you did your makeup or stayed natural without any enhanced features. your slim feminine/masculine body looked so wonderful in your suite/dress. and Klaus , who was getting ready next to you , seemed slightly different from his usual tatics. for tonight was gonna be special.
the glasses of champagne , the assortments of appetizers made their way on trays by the waiters hired for the ball. your mystic falls friends came to enjoy the party as well , a rare sight when it comes to Klaus. coexistence was happening in all aspects of the room. mingling from enemies and old friends gathered around guest tables , it truly was special.
Klaus invited everyone , despite his dislike for many of them. He finally found his one and he wanted to show you how much he's changed. how much time he's put into listening and protecting you. he's balanced everything for you. as well you've risked your life many times for him. and have showed him through everything that you'll be by his side everyday.
you went and chatted with your friends , keeping up appearances and smiling softly.
he enjoyed seeing your face light up , he enjoyed the good memories but knows the hardships you've been through together to get to where you are now. and it times for you and Klaus to make that final step of spending eternity together.
klaus , standing in the middle of room , of course having to be the center of attention , though from his siblings was for a better cause than usual. he lightly ding the champagne glass with a fork , and cleared his throat.
" as some of you may know , I have spent many centuries being the big bad wolf , rightfully so as I've done many terrible things , but the one person who has seen only good in me , for some reason I still can't figure out , has been by my side for many of my faults. she/he/they , are the reason that I want to live everyday the reason I want to change for myself and my daughter , and so with this speech and with this ring." the hybrid got to one knee , pulling out a box , as you stood there shocked and in tears from the wonderful speech , he opens it to reveal a gorgeous diamond ring. " If you will take my hand in marriage , be the ruler of new orleans with me."
as you stood there , in front of all your friends. smiling with watery eyes. you nodded slowly. " yes klaus , I will marry you." and with that he stood up , kissing you softly , keeping you in his arms forever and always.
