After she said that, she slowly leaned forward and brought her face close to mine. As we both closed our eyes—

*alarm clock ringing*

I suddenly woke up and turned off the alarm while half awake. I slowly got up and suddenly thought about the dream I had.

"What a strange dream."

Yesterday, I protected Gayle from a guy that is bothering her. After that she said it to me... Those words—

"Vaughn let's hang out tomorrow. After school..."

They still are ringing in my mind...

After remembering that, I suddenly felt my heart beat faster and I'm getting flustered. I just gave myself a pat in the cheek, as if reassuring myself...

Calm down Vaughn, this is just probably her way of saying thanks. Nothing more... And besides we don't know each other that much. We only met yesterday.

I got out of my room, prepared myself and have gone off to school. As of my usual routine everyday, I will walk with my sister and Glenn to school, my sister is only a year below me so we would go to school together most of the time. As we arrived at the classroom, I can see Gayle talking with 2 girls that I assumed were her friends.

Second day at school and already had friends eh? Good for you...

Our teacher Sir Stevenson started the class. While listening to class, I can't help but throw some glances at her. As the time for the classes to end is slowly approaching, my nervousness is getting worse.

What am I getting nervous for? It's true that I helped her yesterday. She will probably just thank me. I need to calm down, I look like an idiot here.

"Since its 12:00 now. You all can now have your lunch."

After our teacher said that, I have gone to the school cafeteria. After eating,I walked back to the classroom when three guys suddenly cornered me. One of them looks familiar, the senior that bothered Gayle yesterday.

This doesn't look good...

"You brat acting all tough yesterday eh, because of you I never got to walk home with a cute girl!"

"Forcing a girl to walk home with you. Just how shameful and pitiful you are."

"Eh?! You're still blabbering about that? You two hold him down!"

The other two slowly approached me from the two sides. Since I was cornered I have nowhere to go. It's a 3 vs 1 situation.

The one from the right decided to attack and hold me down, so I did a low sweep kick making him tumble over. But the other one from the left punched me in the face. I felt a little dizzy due to the force of the impact but I countered and jabbed him, making him sprawl on the ground. The last one seeing his two companions on the ground approached me and threw a punch, but I countered and hit him in the chest with a side kick. I got mad because of his behavior and doesn't want him to continue doing it to people.

"Don't ever do that to a girl again got it?!"

"I won't bother you or anyone ever again, I'm so sorry!"
