Bonding

I learned that I was the
youngest in the group. I was fifteen, Ophelia was sixteen, Echo was seventeen, Yuka was eighteen, Yao and Xix were nineteen, and Spike was twenty and Leo was twenty-two.

Ophelia's powers usually are put to use in the beginning of plans. She sends in sleeping gas or plants' chloroform into food or perfume. She gets the plan moving before the attack team moves in.

But all powers have downsides. Ophelia's drugs are sometimes too strong and will backfire on her. The source of her power comes from inside her body, so it drains her energy fairly quickly. And when she is overly emotional, poisonous fumes seep from her pores and her mouth unconsciously. This proves dangerous to those around her, which wouldn't be a problem unless you were her allies.

Echo actually seemed to be one who stood out the most in spite of her power. Her bright yellow hair attracts people — and bugs mind you — immediately. Her personality is actually the biggest in the room. But once she's changed, she is more like the person she's turned into than the person themselves. It's terrifying how accurately she can portray a person just by studying them for a short amount of time.

But, Echo isn't strong enough to morph into any non-humans. You see, to become who she wants to be, her body needs to reshape. The muscles move, the bones crack and break, and the visual properties (like skin, hair, and eye color) start burning in order to change. Once her transaction finishes she is usually emotionally and physically drained. Echo says her body starts itching and irritating, her throat clogs up and she feels the contents of her stomach rising before she starts screaming from her pain.

Yuka took care of most of the garden. In spite of her appearance ,piercings and all, she's a very sweet girl. She just loved nature and most living things. Most because she hated the majority of the human race but that's irrelevant. She was a strong warrior on her own, but with Ophelia, she was indestructible. Yuka would plant seeds full of Ophelia's drugs to kill their targets. Truly a duo to be wary of.

But Yuka's weakness is her plants as well. For the plants she grows herself, she feels. She can tap into the mindset of them and really feel the life going through them. And for every plant that is killed, picked, cut, burned, and so on, Yuka is left with their pain. Small injuries that reflect what happened to her beloved natural weapons transfers onto her. When a plant dries out, she is becoming dehydrated. When a flower is snipped, cuts appear on her skin. When a tree is burned. . . You get the picture.

Now Yao. Yao is the god who takes care of impure and sinning souls. He can strip the most protected of men of their essence with just a thought. Their souls will immediately sent to hell to deal repent for their mistakes.

But this results in many living (and dead) people hating him. For every soul he reaps, he gains another weight on his shoulder. He's carrying so many sorrows and rages that it's a wonder how he's so happy.

Lastly, is Xix. And just for your information,"It's not pronounced 'Ex-ix', it's 'Zix'!!" Xix is the god of light. His power is mostly salvation. Souls he and Yao think deserve a second chance, are spared. Others are not. He sends a light of judgement on questionable souls, this is when Yao and Xix don't know the extent of which a soul has sinned.

But Xix is always being begged for forgiveness. People that get sent to hell have families, children that now hate him and are bent on revenge for their loved one. They think, that because he is the god of light he should have mercy. So all of the hate gets set towards him, only him, it's becoming to much to handle.

Lastly was Leo, Spike, and I. Our main flaws so far were that we couldn't properly use our powers. I still had to decide what kind of witch I would be and what elements I would work with. We have yet to learn if Leo can change into more animals besides a lion and like Echo, his transformation is a very painful process. And for Spike to shift his body parts he needs tons of concentration which is hard when you're in the middle of a fight. We had a lot to learn.

Once all eight of us learned about each other, we sat in the giant living room to watch a movie. Half of us wanted to watch a romance movie, three wanted to watch an action movie, and Ophelia wanted to watch a new Korean horror movie that came out.

"Oh come on, we all know a sappy romance is the best way to bond," Spike argued.

"No!", Echo shouted. "Everyone loves a good action movie! Think about it, explosions, guns, gangs, and life risking missions! The perfect movie!"

"If you all just watched my Korean Dramas with me and stopped complaining about subtitles you would love this movie!! Horror movies are the best, especially when there are hot Koreans in them," Ophelia stated.

"Lol you guys are really going at it huh," joked Yao.

Everyone paused.

"Did you really just—"

"I am, disgusted—"

"Lol?? Really??"

"Oh come on guys—"

"You didn't even say l-o-l you just said lol!!! Like a word!"

"Guys it's just a way to say laughing out loud, why are you so shook fml."

. . .

"If you ever use text speak in real life again I swear to god I'm sending your ass to hell."

Ok wow it's been months don't kill me please. I didn't update because of school but I'm going to try to update more often. I was also experiencing writers block so fml don't hate me. I know this was a super small chapter but it was all I had at the moment so now I'm going to brain storm, love you guys💗
