Milk & Honey (Ereri/Riren)

Chapter 1

" Petra, wait. Please give me another chance. ", I begged her. Tears were streaming down my face as I tried to stop her. She wanted to leave me. She was packing all of her things and wouldn't dare to look me in my face.

" I just don't see anything between us anymore, that's why I'm leaving. I found someone else. Let. Me. Go ", I couldn't let go of her. My arms were wrapped around her waist and I tried to turn her around so she could face me.

She saw the hurt in my eyes. She didn't do anything but just look at me. I didn't want her to leave. We were engaged. I proposed to her because we both loved each other, and we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

I let go of her and looked down. I tried to stop the tears from falling down my face. She continued to pack all of her things  as I watched her. I couldn't do anything at this point because I couldn't convince her to stay.

" The wedding is off , Levi ", she threw  the ring I proposed her with at me. Everything came rushing down to me. She finished packing her things and opened the door.

She looked at me one last time before saying, " I don't love you, anymore ", and left. Those were the words I've never wanted to hear my love to say.

I waited in front of the door hoping she would be coming back... but she didn't. I would cry tears every morning and night. Everything in my house was a mess. My bed was all over the place. I threw things to the ground that reminded me of Petra.

I had picture frames of us together.. one that was me proposing to her in front of my friends and family. My whole life was messed up. I felt empty without her. She was my source of happiness and she took it away from me.

I loved her, but she stopped loving me. After she walked out of that door, I've never seen her since then.

" Levi.. hello ?? You have a customer !! ", Hanji was waving her hands in front of me as I was daydreaming. The customer in front of me was waiting patiently for me to take her order.

" I'm sorry, please order when you're ready ", she took a quick scan of our menu behind us and opened her mouth.

" Can I please have a venti strawberry acai with coconut milk, please ", she winked at me which I ignored. I tapped on the screen in front of me to take her order. " Anything else ? ", I asked. She seductively smiled at me which I found creepy.

" You're number as well, if you don't mind ", she asked so innocently. I was used to people flirting with me as I was taking their order. I simply said no to her because one, I wasn't interested, and two, she wasn't that pretty.

She gave me the money to pay for her drink and put it into the cash register. She went to one of the tables and sat down waiting patiently for her drink.

" Leviiiii~ why didn't you say yes ?! ", shitty glasses asked me. I simply told her the reason which earned a small whine from her. Hanji and I worked together at Starbucks. There were days where we would be working together at the registers, or days where we would be baristas together.

" Were you thinking about Petra, again ? ", Hanji asked me quietly.

" No ", I lied. I was thinking about her. I missed everything about her. Her short strawberry colored her. How she would giggle and laugh at everything I do. I miss her hugs and kisses that would calm me down whenever I wasn't feeling it.

Well, it's been a year since we've broken up. I don't know why I lied to Hanji.. she was the one that helped me get back onto my feet again, including Erwin. They were the two only people that I trusted a lot.

" Don't lie to me, Levi. We both know you still miss her ", Hanji was right. I only nodded at her though since there were a few more customers coming in.

" Hi, what can- OH MY GOD,EREN !! ", Hanji suddenly yells. We earn a few looks from some customers but she didn't care. I was met with a tall, fairly built guy with messy chocolate brown hair. His eyes were what stood out the most and caught my attention.

His eyes were an emerald color with a hint of blue and gold around his iris. Our eyes met and he smiled at me. I couldn't smile back so I looked away and I felt my cheeks turning hot.

Hanji must've saw because once I looked backed at her, she had a huge smirk on her face.

" Oh my god, I haven't seen you in years !! We need to catch up ASAP ! But first of all, what can I get you, Eren ", her fingers tapping against the screen as he said his order. I turned my attention back to a customer in front of me and took their order.

After Eren walked away from the cash registers, he made his way to one of the empty tables and took a seat. He took out his phone, which was an iPhone 7+, and was scrolling through whatever. He crossed his left leg across his right and snuggled into a red scarf that he was wearing.

" Levi, you're staring ", Hanji whispered next to me. I looked away from him quickly as he raised his head up when his name was called. He grabbed his drink from one of the baristas and thanked them.

" Bye, Hanji ", he said as he exited the café with his drink in his hand and his other in his coat.

Me and Hanji's shift shortly ended. We went to the lunchroom to grab our things and left the café. It was around 8:30 p.m and the café didn't close until 11 p.m. Me and Hanji were walking home quietly in the dark with our coats in.

It was fall and so it started to get chilly outside. Not to mention, me and Hanji are neighbors so we would occasionally walk home together. We have different shifts but it would end at the same time.

" I totally saw the way you looked at Eren ", Hanji broke the silence. She smirked at me and was probably thinking of a way to set us up together.

" Just because I was staring at him doesn't mean I'm interested in him ", I said.That was a fucking lie, I actually was interested in him.

" What a fucking liar ", she scoffed. I asked her how they knew each other.

" Well, we actually go way back. Our parents knew each other and we've been neighbors since we were kids. Though, he had to move out of the district after his highschool years for his father's job ", her hands were in her pockets.

" We still continued to hang out occasionally after he moved, but after a year we stopped. And I was so surprised to see him today ", she smiles.

" Well why haven't you mentioned him before when we went to school together ? I'm almost certain that I've never saw him on our campus as well ", I asked all confused.

" Well, silly, you never asked. Also, he was homeschooled and his parents didn't allow him to leave the house ", now I know why.

I wanted to know more about him , though I had no idea how because I didn't even know how to even enagage into a conversation.

" If you want, I can introduce him to you ", she winked at me. " Looks like you have a little crush on my titan-boy ", I looked at her confused.

" Titan-boy ? "

" I used to call him that when we were younger ", we were finally in front of our houses.

" Alright, see you tomorrow Levi !! ", Hanji made her way to her front door.

" You don't even have work tomorrow ! ", I shouted at her.

" I know ", she winked at me before entering into her home.
