Chapter 3

" Tell me about who your lover was ", he closed his book as he propped his elbow onto his knee and rested his chin on top of his knuckle.

" Well..we were actually engaged. She broke up with me because..she found someone else ", I choked out.

My eyes started to tear up and Eren seemed to notice. He grabbed my hand that was still holding onto the chains and rubbed it. It actually helped me out a little bit so I continued my story.

" We've been together for quite a while. 9 years. We started dating when we were fourteen, proposed to her when I was 23, and now we're not together anymore. It's been a year since we separated, and I've never seen her since. ", at this point, tears were making their way down my face.

Eren stood up and went in front of me. He cupped my face and rose it up to where my eyes meet his.

" Don't worry, Levi. It's her loss. I know that you're a great guy, you'll get over her. ", after that he pulled me into a hug.

He felt soft. I wrapped my arms around his neck since I was still sitting on the swing. We were like that for a good 2 minutes until we were interrupted by Hanji.

She was squealing and acted like a little fangirl..well she basically is. I quickly pulled away from Eren who had a slight tint of pink across his cheeks.

" Shut it, shitty glasses. Anyways, I have to get to work, catch up on you guys soon ", I grabbed my bag and started to walk to Starbucks.

God, what was this kid doing to me ?

It was around 8:00 p.m and my shift didn't end for another 30 minutes. There were still customers coming in and out, while there were others that were working on the tables.

I wasn't paying attention when another customer entered since I was so focused on cleaning the counter.

I didn't look up when the customer approached me as I went back to my register.

" What can I get for you tonight ? ", my eyes were focused on the screen in front of me until they spoke.

" Can I get a grande pumpkin spice latte ? ", the voice sounded familiar so I looked up to see Eren.

His lips curled into the most cutest smile. My stomach did that butterfly shit again, but I shook it off and took his order.

" What are you doing here ? ", I asked him as he gave the money to me so I could put it into the register.

" To get a drink, silly. It's very cold outside. I also wanted to ask if I could wait for you until your shift is over..if you don't mind ? ", I really wanted to decline but I accepted it anyways.

" My shift will be over in 10 minutes ", we both nodded as I began to take another customers order.

I watch Eren take a seat on one of the stools that were across the large window. He took a sip of his latte each time he scrolled through his phone.

My shift had already ended but I wanted to look at him a bit more. His face structure was really hot, and his jawline made him even more hot.

I walked up to him and cleared my throat to get his attention. His eyes averted to me as he turned his phone off and shoved it into his pocket.

" Ready to go ? ", I nodded at him as he stood up and exited the store together.

We were passing by the park that was near my house as I recalled the memories that happened earlier over there.

" Eren, what actually brings you here ? I've never seen you once around this town. ", I broke the silence that was around us as we were nearing my house.

" Well actually, I recently moved here from Utah and found an apartment. I actually didn't know Hanji lived here so we decided to catch up with each other today ", he finished.

We finally arrived in front of my house and took out my keys.

" You really didn't have to walk me home ", I found the right key and inserted it into the key hole.

" No, it's fine. Anyways, goodnight Levi. See you ", he waved at me as he walked down my door steps.

I watched him put his hands into his coat so he was kept warm.

Something about him made my heart jump, and I was dying to get him.
